“You are the EST”: Sasha Banks’ special message for former Smackdown Women’s Champion

Sasha Banks is one of the best performers on the WWE roster currently. 2022 has already been rollercoaster of an year for the Boss. At the start of the year it seemed like she was going to be challenging Charlotte Flair for the Smackdown Women’s Championship. But an injury during a live event ruled her out of action for a couple of weeks.

But she recovered in time to be back for Royal Rumble. Banks was the No.1 entrant in the Women’s Royal Rumble match. She managed to eliminate Melina and Kelly Kelly during her run in the match, before she was eliminated by Queen Zelina. She didn’t spend much time in the match and there were no teases regarding her upcoming feud.

Banks is currently a part of the Smackdown roster. She had kicked off 2021 as the Smackdown Women’s Champion, but reign came to an end after she was pinned by Bianca Belair at Wrestlemania 37. Since then, Sasha Banks has been trying hard to recapture the title, but has failed at every attempt.

Although as a performer, Sasha Banks would have a lot of grudge against Bianca Belair for costing her the title – she has immense respect for the EST of WWE. After all, the two women had jointly created history when they main evented the Night One of Wrestlemania. She recently appeared for an interview on Mark Andrews’ “My Love Letter to Wrestling”.

“You are legit. Whatever the EST means to you, you are it and to have someone so talented to come in so fast and just kind of get it so well is very rare and to not have an independent background in wrestling, that is just so crazy to me. She’s just, that’s a natural talent,” mentioned Banks.

Melina sent heartfelt message to Sasha Banks

The first two entrants in the Women’s Royal Rumble match were Sasha Banks and Melina. Banks had managed to eliminate Melina within 53 seconds. But even that less than a minute long performance made Banks quite grateful for the chance.

“I wish that moment with Sasha was a singles match. To think if we were able to get a reaction like we did that night without wrestling… Can you imagine what we could do if we actually wrestled?!!! I can wish for a match with you with all my heart and it may never happen, but whether it was 5 seconds, 60 seconds or 20 minutes in the ring with you Sasha, I’m grateful for that magic moment at the Rumble no matter how short. I will forever keep that in my heart.” – mentioned Melina in her post.
