Seth Rollins is once again being built up as a top Superstar on WWE. Initially, when Rollins debuted his “Monday Night Messiah” gimmick last year, it seemed like WWE had no clear plan for him. But since his feud against the Rated-R Superstars Edge, Rollins has found rhythm once again and is quickly rising up to the WWE Championship scene.
In the recently concluded WWE Survivor Series 2021, Rollins represented the Team Red in the 5-on-5 Men’s Elimination Tag Team match. Rollins, along with Jeff Hardy, were the last two participants of the match. After a brutal encounter, the Monday Night Messiah defeated the Charismatic Enigma to become the Sole Survivor, and earn the win for the Red Team. ‘
On the latest episode of WWE Raw, Rollins appeared to brag about being the Sole Survivor. Later during the night, his dominant run on WWE continued, as he picked up a decisive win over “The Prince” Finn Balor. As he made his way back to the locker room after the match, a fan jumped the barricade and attacked Seth Rollins. The officials quickly ran over to save Rollins.
As soon as the two were separated, Rollins started yelling at the attacker. But this isn’t all, Rollins’ designer and friend King Troi went after the attacker and attacked him! The officials soon separated the two of them. Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch, Rollins’ wife also came out to check on him. Some fans in live attendance captured the moment and tweeted the image.
WWE provided an update on Seth Rollins’ fan attack
After the fan attacked Seth Rollins, he was escorted outside the building. Later WWE issued the following statement to Fightful – “WWE takes the safety of its performers very seriously. The individual who attacked Seth Rollins has been turned over to the NYPD and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
Rollins is currently the No.1 Contender for the WWE Championship. In the upcoming weeks, we are bound to see a feud build up between Rollins and Big E. This feud is likely to continue till WWE Royal Rumble 2021.
