“Look who’s back”: John Cena’s Wrestlemania 38 appearance teased by former Champion

Cena and Rollins

Last time the Leader of Cenation was seen in action, was back at Summerslam 2021. He had returned to WWE at Money in the Bank 2021 and feuded against the Universal Champion Roman Reigns for an entire month. But now a Superstar has teased John Cena’s return to action, no later than Wrestlemania 38!

Seth Rollins, after weeks of agony, got a place on the Wrestlemania card. WWE Chairman Vince McMahon himself announced that the Monday Night Messiah is going to be in action on Wrestlemania Saturday. But he did not announce that which Superstar will be colliding against him.

Seth Rollins’ mystery opponent will be revealed at Wrestlemania itself. But this has set up an opportunity for the former World Champion to tease several opponents. He has been taking to Twitter to tease Superstars like – Shane McMahon, Veer Mahaan and Mustafa Ali.

Interestingly, he has also teased the return of 16-time WWE World Champion John Cena as his opponent. He posted a hilarious GIF of Cena, to tease that he could show up at the Showcase of Immortals.

Will John Cena really return to action at Wrestlemania 38?

Out of all the opponents which have been teased by Seth Rollins for his Wrestlemania 38 match, John Cena is the least likely one. He has himself made it clear on several occasions that his Hollywood commitments wont be allowing him to appear at Wrestlemania 38. It would also make more sense if he returns to action next year, when Wrestlemania will be in Hollywood.

Cody Rhodes and Shane McMahon are the two frontrunners currently, as Rollins’ Wrestlemania opponent. While initially it was almost certain that it is going to be Cody, but recent reports suggest that WWE is planning to involve Shane O’Mac into the event as well.
