“We have a lot to catch up on,” Former Champion welcomes Ronda Rousey back

Women's Royal Rumble 2022 winner

Ronda Rousey made her much awaited return to WWE at the recently concluded Royal Rumble. She was last seen on WWE at Wrestlemania 35, in the first-ever Women’s main event match. She had walked in as the Raw Women’s Champion, but had lost the title to Becky Lynch, who walked out as the Double Champion!

“The Baddest Woman on the Planet” returned during the Women’s Royal Rumble match. She entered at No.28 and eliminated four of her opponents to become the eventual winner! Rousey has now earned the right to main event Wrestlemania 38 in a main-event of her choice. She is yet to announce which title she would be going after.

While there is no doubt about her prowess inside the ring, one interesting thing fans noticed during the Royal Rumble, were her interactions with former Women’s Tag Team Champion Shayna Baszler. The two Superstars were constantly exchanging smiles during the match. The WWE Universe might not be aware that these two Superstars are close friends in real life.

Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler are both former UFC stars and were part of their “Four Horsewomen”. Apparently, the two friends met each other after a long time and Rousey took to Twitter after her win to share their GIF. She captioned – “When you run into a friend but you’re kinda busy.”

The “Queen of Spades” Shayna Baszler replied with “Coffee? We have a lot to catch up on. But it’s somehow all the same…” While the WWE Universe would love to see them in action together, it remains to be seen whether they cross paths in the coming weeks.

Ronda Rousey won the Women’s Royal Rumble 2022 after eliminating Smackdown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair. On the latest episode of Raw, she came out to discuss her Wrestlemania plans, but didn’t reveal that whom she would be going after.

Reportedly, Rousey is back on WWE for a longer run, that could extend upto Wrestlemania 39! If these plans are indeed true, both Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair would get a match against her. This year, she is likely to go after the Smackdown Women’s Champion, and next year after Lynch.
