AJ Styles is the newest inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame. The news got broken by The Undertaker in a surprise announcement on Raw.

This week’s Raw was centered around the sendoff to AJ Styles. Having lost to Gunther at the Royal Rumble, ‘The Phenomenal One’ had to call it quits on his WWE career as per the stipulation that the Austrian rage-baited AJ into. Styles didn’t leave his gloves and instead put them back on at the Rumble, making everyone wonder if there was more that met the eye.
Amid rumors that the tribute to Styles on Raw would be a ploy to make him come out of retirement, it ended up differently. First and foremost, the 48-year-old revealed the reason behind not leaving his gloves in the ring in Riyadh even when he initiated it. The former IWGP Champion said that he wanted to take those gloves to his hometown of Atlanta and leave them there instead.

Styles said he had accomplished almost everything in his life except being a full-time father. The Untouchable One’s family was nestled in the front row, and AJ took a moment to call his wife the greatest in the world for taking care of their household in times when Styles had to be on the road as a professional wrestler.
‘The Face That Runs the Place’ expressed how tough it was to miss the birthdays and the anniversaries and to see his kids grow up mostly through FaceTime calls.

‘The Georgia Pitbull’ called his final WWE match poetic for the fact that it happened on the same PLE on which he debuted in 2016—the Royal Rumble. During his promo, Styles gave shoutouts to some of the absolute best he shared the ring with in TNA before moving to Japan and meeting the Good Brothers over there.

Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson were in attendance, and so were Frankie Kazarian, Monster Abyss, and Air Paris, who was Styles’ WCW tag team partner. The entire WWE roster, led by Chief Content Officer Triple H, assembled on the stage to applaud Styles. Just when it seemed the show was going off air with the credits having already rolled on, The Undertaker‘s gong hit.

‘The Deadman’ shocked his last WrestleMania opponent by informing him that he’s going to be inducted into the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame. The announcement seemed to have genuinely shocked ‘Mr. TNA’, who shared a warm hug with Taker before calling his family into the ring to celebrate with them.
What else happened on this week’s WWE Raw?
Apart from the AJ Styles tribute on Raw, the show drastically fell off. In a very unfortunate turn of events, “Big” Bronson Reed got injured during his Elimination Chamber qualifying match against Jey Uso and the original El Grande Americano. ‘The Auszilla’ was the planned winner of the match, as confirmed later by WrestleVotes. Uso pinned Americano to seal the last berth in the men’s chamber.

Meanwhile, Raquel Rodriguez pinned Kairi Sane in an EC qualifier also comprising Iyo Sky to advance into the women’s Elimination Chamber match this weekend in Chicago. Brock Lesnar‘s return to Raw resulted in Paul Heyman confirming that ‘The Beast’ will issue an open challenge at WrestleMania 42.

Lesnar is also confirmed to appear at five Raw tapings on the road to WrestleMania, starting with the 3/16 Raw in Texas until the go-home edition in Sacramento. Liv Morgan picked Stephanie Vaquer to go to war with at WrestleMania in a segment where she stood up to Jade Cargill only to smack ‘La Primera’ in the face.
Je’Von Evans picked up momentum before his Elimination Chamber participation by beating Kofi Kingston despite distraction attempts from Xavier Woods and Grayson Waller. CM Punk also cut an in-ring promo addressing Finn Balor putting too much emphasis on what-ifs.

Punk said he doesn’t like them because they’re not rooted in reality. ‘The Second City Saint’ will defend his World Heavyweight title against ‘The Prince’ at the Elimination Chamber to keep his hopes of smacking Roman Reigns in the face next week on Raw alive. Punk has to come out of his hometown unscathed to face Reigns in a dream encounter at the ‘Grandest Stage of Them All’.
