Shotzi Blackheart emerges as the new challenger for Smackdown Women’s Championship

Flair and Blackheart

Shotzi Blackheart is finally getting the push that she deserves on the main roster. Since moving to the main roster, Blackheart had been teamed up with Tegan Nox, but the team failed to gain much attention from the WWE Universe. Now it seems like Blackheart is back as a singles Superstar, and has immediately been added to the Smackdown Women’s Championship scene.

The latest episode of WWE Smackdown was kicked off by the Blue brand’s Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair. She acknowledged last week’s drama, and said that the order has been restored. Now she was once again ready to be the leader, the mentor and someone who brings out the best in others. Banks soon came out asking for a title opportunity, but Flair felt that a new face deserved a shot at the Smackdown Women’s title.

Out came Shotzi Blackheart. One of the newer additions to the Smackdown roster mentioned that she was ready to face Flair, in case the Smackdown Women’s Champion wants to face someone whom she has never faced. Flair accepted leading to the opening match of the night, and a subtle hint that Blackheart is a future top Champion of the company.

Throughout the match, Sasha Banks kept on interfering and distracting both the Superstars. Blackheart lost the match, when she was distracted by Banks. But Blackheart brutally assaulted The Boss after the match, coming out looking really strong despite her loss.

Shotzi Blackheart might get a title shot later

The current Smackdown Women’s Championship involved Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks. Shotzi Blackheart lost her Championship Contender’s match, which means that she is quite unlikely to get a title shot in the near future. But she might soon be getting a shot at the title.

WWE might wait until after Survivor Series 2021, before adding Blackheart to the title scene. The Smackdown Women’s Champion will be facing Raw Women’s Championship Becky Lynch at the PPV. While Charlotte Flair is the current Champion, Banks could win the title and replace Flair.
