WWE signs Indian MMA star Sanjana George
Sanjana George is WWE's newest recruit
Indian MMA star Sanjana George recently took to Instagram to announce that she has signed a contract with WWE. She also thanked everyone from her coaches to her family and friends, in her Instagram story.
WWE has been focusing on building a bigger brand in India. They even made an India special show – WWE Superstar Spectacle which was aimed at introducing the Indian talents which included – Dilsher Shanky, Jeet Rama and Sareena Sandhu among others.
Sanjana had appeared for an interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling, while she was trying out for WWE. She mentioned that how WWE was different from anything that she had experienced. Sanjana also revealed that she has been a lifelong WWE fan.
“WWE is a lot more difficult. You need very good muscle memory to do well here. When you’re taking a bump, literally you are falling on your back. When you see obstacles, you see and you plan how you’re going to do it. This is basically believing in luck and hoping things work out,” said George.
Sanjana George revealed the details of her meeting with Triple H
In an interview with Times of India, Sanjana revealed that she had a brief meeting with Triple H. She mentioned that after she had signed with the company, she got a chance to say ‘hi’ to the NXT boss.
“It was a very brief meeting. But I got to say ‘Hi, it’s an absolute privilege to meet you,’ and he said ‘good luck!’,” explained George.
Sanjana was a keen follower of The Rock and Ronda Rousey. They inspired her since the time she was a little girl. Sanjana George hails from Kerala and has experience in MMA and obstacle course races. She had started by learning kickboxing for self defense purposes.
Sanjana soon got interested in MMA and it gave her an outlet to release her emotions. She now gears up for her professional wrestling career, and we wish for her success in her WWE journey.
