WWE Smackdown live results: Another action-packed episode of the Blue brand is one the way with the Universal Championship contract signed for WWE Summerslam. Finn Balor and Baron Corbin were close to signing the contract, which was ultimately signed by John Cena.

WWE Smackdown live results: Bianca Belair accepts Sasha Banks’ challenge
The Boss kicked the show off and said she came back to regain her spotlight. Banks then said Belair was afraid of her at Wrestlemania and that she was nothing without the Boss. Bianca Belair then came out said Banks wanted a match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship and she got it. Zelina Vega then came out and asked for her shot. Belair then accepted Vega’s challenge for later tonight.
WWE Smackdown live results: Jey Uso def Dominik
The match started with Dominik deliver a dropkick to Jey followed by an arm drag but Jey took him down easily. Jey then slammed Dominik in the middle of the ring and but the latter fought back and delivered a sunset flip to Jey into the barricade. Back inside the ring, Dominik delivered a neckbreaker to Jey and then drove him into the turnbuckle for two counts. He then delivered the 619 but Jimmy distracted him during the splash. Jey took as an opportunity and delivered a superkick followed by the Uso splash to get the win.
WWE Smackdown live results: Shinsuke Nakamura def Apollo Crews via disqualification
The match started with Crews using his power to take Nakamura down but the latter fought back with a dropkick. Nakamura then delivered a knee to the skull of Crews when Azeez took him down.
WWE Smackdown live results: Tegan Nox def Tamina
The match started with Nox taking Tamina down in the corner but the latter’s power was enough to take her down. Tamina went for the Samoan drop but Shotzi launched a cannon from her tank. Nox used the distraction and rolled Tamina to get the win.
WWE Smackdown live results: Edge vs Seth Rollins made official for Summerslam
Edge came out and said that Seth Rollins made a mistake at Money in the Bank. Seth Rollins then came via satellite and said he smashing the camera in Edge’s face was from the latter’s playbook. Edge then challenged Rollins for a first time-ever match at Summerslam when Rollins he should think about it. Rollins said that if he stomped Edge’s face into the mat, the three times surgically repaired neck will end Edge’s career. He then started talking about the Rated R superstars’ family but Edge said Rollins was a lite version of him. Rollins became furious hearing that and accepted Edge’s challenge.
WWE Smackdown live results: Street Profits def Ziggler and Roode
The match started with Roode taking Ford down with a kick to the mid-section but the latter fought back with a dropkick. Roode slammed Ford into the mat and tagged Ziggler in. A double team to Ford took him down for two counts. Ziggler and Dawkins came in and the big man took the veteran down with a neckbreaker. Distraction by Roode helped Ziggler deliver a famouser to Dawkins when Ford tagged himself in and delivered a splash to Ziggler drom the heavens to get the win.
WWE Smackdown live results: Bianca Belair def Zelina Vega
The match started with Belair overpowering Vega with her skills when the latter delivered some elbow shots. Belair then had Vega over her head when Banks came out. Vega used the distraction and took Belair down for two counts. Belair fought back a shoulder tackle and then drove Vega face first for two counts. Belair then delivered the Kiss of Death to get a pinfall victory.

Just when the bell rang, Corbin asked for a mic and said he wanted to apologize. Balor didn’t accept the apology and took Corbin down. The Lone Wolf fought back and delivered power strikes to Balor. Finn Balor then delivered the overhead kick and unloaded right hand on him. Balor then delivered the sling blade followed by the coup de grace to get the win.
After the match Balor said he wanted to face Reigns for the Universal Championship. He said he was willing to go through John Cena to face Reigns as well. Roman Reigns then came out and said he understood why Balor was upset. Reigns then said that whatever happens, his name shouldn’t come in Balor’s mouth. Balor then pushed Reigns out of the ring when Usos attacked Balor from behind. Balor then fought the Usos and took them out when reigns marched into the ring. Balor delivered a sling blade to the champion when the Usos again attacked. It then became a 3 on 1 assault when reigns locked Balor in the gi-a-tee.
