WWE Smackdown results – 20/11/2020 (Reigns-McIntyre contract signing, final episode before Survivor Series)


The show kicks off with The Street Profits hyping up Survivor Series and The Undertaker’s farewell. Big E sneaks up on them and pretends to be Taker.
The New Day and The Street Profits def. Sami Zayn, King Corbin, Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode

The New Day are in the ring and hyping up The Undertaker’s farewell. Sami Zayn comes out. He says that Taker is retiring because he is scared of him. The New Day mocks Zayn. Corbin comes out. He says The New Day do not deserve to be on “his show”. Ziggler and Roode come out. They say they have a score to settle with The New Day. The Street Profits come out. This is an 8-man Tag team match now.
The Champions’ team are dominating in the game. But Kofi accidentally takes out Ford with a flying kick. Sami Zayn did not get tagged into the match until the end. Ford pulls him in and hits a Frogsplash for the win.
After the match, Zayn is arguing with the referee. Daniel Bryan is standing nearby and laughing. Zayn is shouting at him. Bryan shoves him.
Natalya def. Tamina (Qualifies for Survivor Series, Team Smackdown)

Adam Pearce announces that Otis is the final member of Team Smackdown for Survivor Series. Natalya shows up, and wants to be put on the Women’s Smackdown Team. But Pearce has selected Bayley to be on the team. Natalya is put in a qualifier match. She will be facing Tamina.
Bayley and Bianca Belair on commentary for this match. Tamina starts off strong abd throws Natalya outside the ring. Belair points out that while other members of the team have earned their spots, Bayley was just handed one. Bayley claims herself to be the captain of the team.
Natalya manages to catch Tamina in a Sharpshooter. Tamina taps out as Natalya qualifies for the Team. The whole team celebrates in the ring.
Roman Reigns – Drew McIntyre contract signing

The Universal Champion says that he knew McIntyre could defeat Orton for the Championship. Heyman says McIntyre is the right person, in the right place at the wrong time. McIntyre says he won’t lose his temper and Reigns should now prepare for war.
Reigns looks at the contract and shows to McIntyre saying that Reigns is the face of the company. While McIntyre is the secondary Champion. Reigns signs and walks off.
Murphy def. Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins mentions that Murphy was handed everything by him. But what did he get in return? A backstabber in the disguise of a disciple. Seth is ready to send him back to irrelevance.
Rollins attacks Murphy during his entrance. As the match begins there is some back and forth action. Rollins goes to grab a kendo stick but Rey and Dominik interfere. Rollins attacks the Mysterios. Rollins starts dominating with some great moves. He goes for back to back Stomps, but Murphy counters it with two knee breaks followed by a Murphy’s Law for the win.
Sasha Banks and Asuka interview

Michael Cole is interviewing the Women’s Champion from both the brands. Asuka is still at her comedic best. She impersonates Cena and says You can’t see me. Banks says she is ready to face Asuka. Carmella attacks her from behind. Carmella hangs her upside down and kicks her head into the post. Asuka looks on.
Daniel Bryan def. Jey Uso

Before the match, Bryan mentions that Jey Uso had a devil on his shoulder. He is referring to Roman Reigns. Bryan assures that he is ready for their match tonight.
Uso mentions that he is the devil himself. He hit Bryan because he wanted to. As the match begins, Bryan takes Uso in a submission hold. The continued with some back and forth action. The action went outside the ring, but Bryan was quick to bring it back inside.
Uso went for a Splash but Bryan got his knees up in time, as he rolled up Uso for the big win. Bryan celebrates as the show comes to a close.
