WWE Smackdown Results – 30/10/2020 (Roman Reigns and Jey Uso Fallout, Survivor Series Qualifiers)
WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Jey Uso

The show kicks-off with Jey Uso in the ring. Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman are walking down. A highlight of their Hell in a Cell “I Quit” match is shown.

Jey snatches the microphone from Heyman and claims that Reigns did not beat him. The Universal Champion says that Jey can make all the excuses that he wants, but he did quit at Hell in a Cell. Jey says his brother Jimmy was used to make him quit. Reigns says that these are the things that need to be donw to keep the Universa Championship. Uso doesn’t know the burden of being the face of WWE. Reigns has the backing of his father and the whole family. He gives a deadline till the end of the night to Uso, to fall in lin and take the oath or leave the family. Uso starts breaking down. Reigns puts his arm around Uso as they leave the ring.

Roman Reigns’ promos just keep getting better and better. It would be really great to see the Usos to join Reigns’ Heel family stable.

Kevin Owens def. Dolph Ziggler (Qualifies for Survivor Series, Team Smackdown)

Ziggler is accompanied by Robert Roode to the ringside. As the bell rings, Ziggler tries to aim for Owens’ leg but Kevin counters with a head lock. Owens then runs towards Ziggler, but Ziggler moves, as Owens falls to the outside. The referee is distracted by Ziggler as Roode stomps Owens.

As Owens gets back in the ring, they follow with some back and forth action. Owens goes for a Senton from the top rope, but Ziggler gets his knees up. Owens counters Ziggler’s Super Kick with a Super Kick. Ziggler hits a famouser to counter Owens’ popped up power bomb. Both the wrestlers hit a sunset flip reversal followed by Owens hitting a Stunner for the win.

Kevin Owens is the first member to earn a spot on Team Smackdown for the Survivor Series.

Lars Sullivan and Corey Graves were in an interview earlier in the day. Sullivan says that he prefers being called The Freak and shares a childhood story of being humiliated. Sullivan explains that at WWE anyone who crosses his path, he will unleash his lifetime of pain and humiliation on him. The entire world will be his personal playground. His personal little Hell on earth.

Bianca Belair def. Natalya and Billie Kay (Qualifies for Survivor Series, Team Smackdown)

Adam Pearce is suggesting a triple threat match between Natalya, Billie Kay and Bianca Belair for a place in the Women’s Team Smackdown. The three wrestlers were trying to convince Pearce to give them a spot on the Team. As the match begins with there are multiple slaps, ducks and covers involved. Bianca was rolled up by Kay, but she kicked out and hit a KOD. She rolls up Kay for the win.

Bianca Belair is the first member to earn a spot on Team Smackdown for the Women’s Elimination match at Survivor Series. Considering the push that she recently has been getting, she might be the one who wins it for Team Smackdown.  

Carmella cuts a promo for her appearance next week. She says she is the one who calls the shots and gives orders. Next week on SmackDown, she will show the world why she is untouchable.

Murphy apologizes to the Mysterios

Aalyah and Murphy were backstage, when Aalyah said that her father and brother have stopped talking to her. Murphy announces that he knows what needs to be done. He will be publicly apologizing to the Mysterios.

Murphy and Aalyah come down to the ring. Murphy confesses to have done terrible things. But he is a changed man now, and wants to apologize to Rey and Dominik. He calls them out.

Seth Rollins’ music hits and he comes out. He says he knows that the Mysterios will never forgive him. They will never accept whatever is going on between Murphy and Aalyah. But even if the Mysterios do not accept him, Rollins will. Rollins will even get the two of them married if they want.

Dominik attacks Rollins from behind. Murphy attacks Seth too. Dominik and Murphy start shoving each other, as Rey runs down to the ring. Rey is about to hit a 619. But Aalyah stops him and confesses to loving Murphy. She kisses Murphy as the two hug in the ring.

The Street Profits def. Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura

The match was completely about the high-flying Montez Ford. In the early moments of the match, Ford hit a flip off the top rope on to Nakamura who was outside the ring. The match ended on flying note too. As Ford hit a big splash off the top rope to Nakamura for the win.

WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks

Banks is in the ring with her title around her waist. She says she did exactly what she had told Bayley. That was to take her WWE Championship. Bayley was her best friend. They wanted to take over the company. But Bayley took a steel chair and tried to end her career.

Bayley comes out. She says the hold world knows that Banks can win Championships but can never hold onto it. Everyone also knows that Banks cannot beat Raw Women’s Champion Asuka without Bayley’s help. She challenges Banks for the title next week on Smackdown. And tells her to enjoy the short 13-day title reign. Banks accepts.

Jey Uso def. Daniel Bryan (Qualifies for Survivor Series, Team Smackdown)

The match had many good moments of attacks and counter-attacks. Mid-way through the match Roman Reign’s music hits and he walks out with Paul Heyman. Uso hit a Uso splash onto Bryan for the win.

As Uso gets the pin, Reigns gets in the ring, as the two go face to face. Uso says that he has accepted Reigns as the head of the table. He is with Reigns. The Universal Champion slowly looks at Bryan. Uso hits him with a Super Kick and another Uso splash off the top rope.

Jey tells he understands and loves Roman. Roman orders Uso to make Bryan understand. Uso throws Bryan onto the steel steps. He places Bryan on the announcers table and hits a splash off the rope onto the table. The show ends.

It was a pretty decent show, but Uso accepting Reigns as a leader was surely a highlight of the show. An interesting rivalry between Jey Uso and Daniel Bryan might be on the cards.
