“I run both brands”: WWE authority isn’t worried about facing Ronda Rousey

Rousey

Ronda Rousey is one of the most dominant forces on the WWE roster today. She has been in the professional wrestling industry since 2018 and debuted for the company at Wrestlemania 34. While she is fairly new to the squared ring – her in-ring prowess has impressed the WWE Universe since first match.

After a brief hiatus from the company, “The Baddest Woman on the Planet” made her shocking return earlier this year – at 2022 Royal Rumble. She was the 28th entrant in the match and inarguably, one of the biggest surprises of the entire event. She sent Smackdown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair over the top rope to win the Women’s Royal Rumble match.

With this win, Rousey earned the right to main event Wrestlemania. Ronda Rousey officially announced that she will be going after Charlotte Flair for the Smackdown Women’s title at the Showcase of Immortals. Both the Superstars have been in the ring together at a Wrestlemania main-event but Becky Lynch had defeated them back then!

While Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair were feuding, they crossed paths with Sonya Deville and Naomi – who had been feuding for weeks. Rousey sided with Naomi whereas Deville teamed up with Flair. But now it seems like Deville is trying her best to cost Rousey the match – as she tried to injure her this week.

But this led to Adam Pearce announcing that Rousey will face Sonya Deville next week on Smackdown. This will also be Rousey’s in-ring debut on the Blue brand. Interestingly, if the latest segment on Talking Smack is anything to go by – WWE official Sonya Deville is not at all tensed about her upcoming bout.

“If you knew anything about Sonya Deville, you would know that I run both brands. I attend every show this company puts on and I get in the ring and wrestle when need be. So preparation isn’t really a concern of mine. And I’m not going to sit here and divulge my strategy to you,”  mentioned Sonya Deville.

At the Elimination Chamber Ronda Rousey teamed up with Naomi to face Sonya Deville and Charlotte Flair. The odds were stacked against Rousey as she had one of her hands tied behind her back. But still the Superstars overcame the odds and managed to win the match.

Rousey made it clear that she loved teaming up with Naomi. Since then, the former Smackdown Women’s Champion has gone on to a form a team with Sasha Banks. Whereas Flair, Rousey and Deville continue to 2-on-1 rivalry.
