Major stipulation added to the main event of WWE Summerslam 2021

After weeks of heat between Roman Reigns and John Cena, the two were finally going to meet at Summerslam whne the go-home show of Smackdown made a major turn. During the face-to-face interaction between John Cena and Roman Reigns in the main event of Smackdown, Reigns shocked the world and made an announcemment.
Cena was looking confident and said he would break the all-time championship record at Summerslam when Reigns said that if he won the championship, his dominance continues. But if he lost, he will leave WWE. This has now elated the WWE Universe and made the main event of Summerslam one of the all-time best builded match.

Undoubtedly, it can be said that Summerslam will make history and the main event could be the show stealer. Moments before Smackdown, Dave Meltzer from Wrestling Observer Newsletter said that if Reigns lost the Universal Championship at Summerslam, he will regain it on TV or Madison Square Garden.
This would’ve been done only if WWE wanted to make Cena a 17-time world champion. But now things have changed and after this bouncer by the company, it would be easy to determine the winner. Though Cena is looking very confident and making him lose will be one of the biggest mistakes of WWE, the last thing the company will want is to lose Roman Reigns.
What if John Cena wins at Summerslam?

Though it is near to impossible now that Cena will win the match, if WWE makes its focus set on the championship record, they will possible lose an asset in Roman Reigns. But even if Cena wins, Reigns could be kept in the company. Sonya Deville was on the same side of the road last year and she lost, she was still in WWE.
The company could do the same thing and after a break of a month or two for Reigns, the Tribal Chief could be brought back to the company. But giving Reigns a break will also affect the dream match between the Rock and him. So, by the looks of it, John Cena’s win will be far from possible.
