What’s next for Paul Heyman? – Gets sentimental after getting fired

It was on the December 17th edition of WWE SmackDown when Roman Reigns fired Paul Heyman as his special counsel. This happened immediately after Heyman answered Roman’s question of why was Paul protecting Brock from Roman Reigns.

Paul boldly answered that he wasn’t protecting Brock Lesnar from Roman Reigns, rather was protecting Roman Reigns from the Beast Incarnate, ‘Brock Lesnar’.

This brought in a flow of emotions in the mind of the Tribal chief as he hugged Paul Heyman, thanking him for all his services and saying that he loves him. Immediately, after this moment, Roman Reigns shoved Paul Heyman with a Superman Punch right at his jaw. The Bloodline was then preparing to destroy Paul Heyman with a steel chair just when The Beast Incarnate’s music hit and as soon as he entered the ring, there were bodies everywhere with the Beast standing tall.

Paul Heyman opens up about this segment

Paul Heyman, who appeared on SmackDown on December 24th, 2021, has broken his embargo on the subject. The Wise-Man presented his side of the story on why he was fired by Reigns during a segment with Kayla Braxton. “What occurred was that I was fired publically because I stated the truth.” Publicly smashed in the face.

Embarrassed and humiliated in public, in front of my peers. What occurred was that I informed Roman Reigns the truth, and he publicly punished me for it.” While Heyman’s statements make anybody sympathise with him, the manner he crafted the promo demonstrates why he is one of the top managers in the industry. The broken heart persona was perfectly conveyed, as was ‘The Wise- Man’s unshaven appearance.

Neither Roman Reigns nor Brock Lesnar! Retirement?

The WWE Universe anticipated Heyman to embrace Brock Lesnar after The Tribal Chief sacked him. Many people thought Heyman and Lesnar would reunite and have the Christmas wine together. Tragically, this hasn’t been the case. Paul Heyman mentioned during the same commercial with Braxton that he may have reached a stage in his career when he needs to consider retirement.

“I dedicated my entire heart, soul, and energy to serve as special counsel to The Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns. Without that, I’m afraid it’s time for me to admit that my career is probably gone.”

What could be next in cards for the wiseman?

The cards could now unwind in only 2 ways now. Either Paul Heyman actually retires or we once again hear the ever-energetic words – “My client, the reigning, defending, undisputed WWE Champion – Brock Lesnar!” But as it’s WWE, we should take these with a grain of salt as we never know what WWE has in store for us.
