After the immense success in San Juan with Backlash 2023, fans are now curious as to what song Bad Bunny used during his amazing entrance before his match with Damian Priest. The international music artist fought Priest in a San Juan Street Fight in his home country of Puerto Rico and won.
To everyone’s surprise, the popular artist came out with his super-hit single from 2017, Chambea. The fans came unglued in the arena, and Bunny received one of the loudest crowd reactions in recent memory. The Puerto Rican native was serenaded by the entire audience, who sang to the theme at the top of their voices. The crowd had been loud the entire night until that point, but it reached another level as soon as the music hit.
The multi-time Grammy award winner made his announcement on Twitter a few days before the match that he would be bringing a new theme song at Backlash. Usually, Bad Bunny uses ‘Booker T’ from his previous album as his entrance theme. Therefore, fans were curious to see what song would play in the arena when Bunny came out.
The match was well received by fans and critics everywhere. The chaotic brawl also featured cameos from local legends and former WWE superstars like Savio Vega and Carlito. Bad Bunny’s opponent, Damian Priest, also received numerous praises from former stars and professional wrestlers.
Bad Bunny becomes a member of LWO
It was announced in March that Bad Bunny would be hosting WWE Backlash in Puerto Rico in May. The Bunny then butted heads with former friend-turned-rival Damian Priest during WrestleMania when he stopped Priest from attacking Rey Mysterio during his match with Dominik Mysterio. After some more confrontation and brawling, it was announced that instead of hosting, the Puerto Rican native would have a match against Priest.
During the build-up, Bunny was back up against the wall multiple times by The Judgment Day. The newly reformed Latino World Order would help him out every time. Therefore, when the LWO needed help, Bad Bunny made sure to return the favor. During his match at Backlash, LWO helped him defend against Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio with the help of the returning Savio Vega and Carlito.
LWO has helped provide solid characterization and storylines to multiple stars as they have quickly become one of the most popular acts on weekly television. This faction is an homage to the original founder member of the group, Eddie Guerrero, who formed it back in WCW.
