Who will face Finn Balor at WrestleMania 39?

Something huge might be in the works for Finn Balor at WrestleMania this year. To his own benefit, Triple H sees him as a reclamation project and that's why he's been operating on a different level as of late.

Since the inception of Triple H as the WWE creative lead, an additional amount of spotlight has been given to Finn Balor. As known, The Judgment Day leader was a vital ingredient in Hunter’s vision for NXT’s Black & Gold era. As of late, the inaugural Universal Champion has been involved in an embroiling rivalry with Edge and Beth Phoenix, alongside his Judgment Day stablemates. This past Saturday night at the Elimination Chamber, Balor teamed up with Rhea Ripley to take on the Grit Couple.

After a fantastic mixed tag team match, the heel duo succumbed to an ever-resilient couple of Copelands. Courtesy of a Shatter Machine, Edge & Beth payed homage to their good buddies Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler as well. But the real question is, what’s next for the aforementioned parties? With WrestleMania on the horizon, it would be really difficult for WWE to scout a unique opponent for both Edge and Finn Balor.

So, we might witness a shift of previous plans on the Grandest Stage of them all. If that really happens, there’s been an added speculation going around that the involved superstars can rekindle their darker versions for the final chapter of their saga. For Edge, he’s rumored to make an Attitude Era callback and ignite that Brood persona up against The Demon inside Finn Balor. Also, that is being said to be a Hell in a Cell bout.

At WrestleMania last year, Edge began recruiting young and talented individuals in a foresight to escalate their struggling careers. As the time passed, he took Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley under his wings, only to get kicked out of his own leadership after Finn Balor’s arrival. After that, three former NXT Champions continued to ruled Monday nights for months. After a certain period, they further gained a fourth member in the form of Dominik Mysterio.

Majority of The Judgment Day’s journey collided with frequent resistances from Edge. The Master Manipulator kept coming back to taught them a lesson and even termed that group as his mistake. He then vowed to finish what he started and that might very well be the case at this year’s WrestleMania. What if Edge asks Balor to put the legal association of The Judgment Day at stake at the Showcase of the Immortals? This can be a highly possible scenario given that the creative has decided to push each member of the villainous 4-membered group as a singles star.
