Wrestlemania 37 Night 1 was completely sold-out

One half of WWE’s biggest night of the year is officially over. WWE managed to deliver a power-packed show and the return of live crowd made the viewing experience much greater. Live crowd returned to a WWE show after exactly one year, one month and one day.

WWE has announced that Wrestlemania 37 Night One was completely sold out with 25, 675 fans in attendance at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.

WWE released an official statement announcing the attendance. The release read, “A sell-out of 25,675 fans attended Night One of WrestleMania at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, FL with millions more watching at home on Peacock in the U.S. and on WWE Network around the world…Adhering to local health guidelines, a limited number of tickets were sold for WrestleMania, with all in attendance seated in socially-distanced pods. Additional safety measures included health screenings and temperature checks prior to entry into Raymond James Stadium, mask requirements, social distancing, mobile ticketing, cashless concessions and enhanced sanitization throughout the venue.”

The start to the Night One of Wrestlemania was delayed due to rain and thunderstorm. But during the wait, several WWE Superstars cut promos backstage. Finally, the hosts of the show, Hulk Hogan and Titus O’Neil welcomed millions of fans from all over the globe to Wrestlemania.

In the first match of the evening, Bobby Lashley defeated Drew McIntyre to retain his WWE Championship. The Raw Tag Team titles changed hands with AJ Styles and Omos being crowned the new Champions.

Cesaro won in his first singles match at Wrestlemania, against Seth Rollins. Natalya and Tamina won the Tag Team Turmoil match and will be going against Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler on Night Two of Wrestlemania. Braun Strowman defeated Shane McMahon in the second steel match ever on Wrestlemania.

But the highlight of the show was Bianca Belair’s Smackdown Championship win. She defeated Sasha Banks in the main event of Night One. We still have another night of Wrestlemania 37 to look forward too, which looks as promising as the first night.

  • Riddle vs. Sheamus (United States Championship)
  • Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler vs. Natalya and Tamina (Women’s Tag Team Championship)
  • Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn
  • Big E vs. Apollo Crews (Intercontinental Championship)
  • Asuka vs. Rhea Ripley (Raw Women’s Championship)
  • Randy Orton vs. “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt
  • Roman Reigns vs. Edge vs. Daniel Bryan (Universal Championship)
