Xavier Woods emerges as the MVP from the latest WWE Raw

Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston were involved in a Tag Team Turmoil match on the latest episode of WWE Raw. Seven Tag Teams battled it out on the Red brand to earn a shot at the Raw Tag Team Championships – which currently sit around the waists of Randy Orton and Riddle.

WWE Champion Bobby Lashley and MVP were the last-minute additions to the match, and eventually ended up winning the match. But the WWE Superstar that completely stole the show was The New Day member Xavier Woods.

Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston kicked off the match against The Viking Raiders. The dominance of Woods began from the first match itself as he eliminated the Raiders with a quick roll-up. Veer and Jinder Mahal were the next team in and after some back-and-forth action The New Day overcame them as well and soon the Lucha House Party met the same fate.

Former RETRIBUTION members T-Bar and Mace were the next team in. By the time they came in, it had become a set template – to attack Woods as much as possible, Kingston would tag in and get the momentum back for his team and Woods returns to win the match for his team!

The match was halted when T-Bar and Mace attacked after being eliminated. The Turmoil match resumed and The New Day members were back after already competing for nearly an hour. Woods’ impressive run continued as they picked up a win over Mansoor and Mustafa Ali as well.

Over the course of the match, Woods was having some back issues and in addition to that he was also battling exhaustion. They eventually lost to AJ Styles and Omos, but before going down, they ensured that the crowd witnessed another exciting encounter.

Woods and Kingston, were the first team to enter the match and eliminated five other teams before being eliminated by AJ Styles and Omos. They, in turn, ended up losing to Bobby Lashley and MVP. The members of the The Hurt Business will now be facing Randy Orton and Riddle for the Tag Team Championship.

This is not all. The WWE Championship feud is also intertwined with the Raw Tag Team titles. Bobby Lashley will also be defending the WWE Championship against The Viper Randy Orton. But that match is scheduled for WWE Extreme Rules 2021.
