Otis and Bronson Reed are two of the strongest wrestlers in WWE right now. Nobody can deny the effort they put into their training regimens. Both superstars fought against each other on Raw, but before their match, WWE decided to compare them with some of their attributes. In one of those statistics, the graphics showed both heavyweights could lift 600 lbs of weight.
While speaking on the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed the validity of WWE’s claim. Although he admitted that both Otis and Bronson Reed are very powerful wrestlers, he said that there was no way they could bench press 600 pounds. The veteran journalist added that he could only imagine powerlifters like Scott Norton and Doug Furnas bench-pressing that kind of weight.

Meltzer revealed a conversation he had with the Aussie wrestler a couple of years ago, in which he said he bench-pressed 400 pounds. However, Meltzer couldn’t believe they could do 600 pounds, disputing the Stamford-based company’s claims. Speaking about their match, Reed defeated the member of Alpha Academy on the latest episode of Raw, much to Chad Gable‘s dismay.
Enraged by the loss, the 38-year-old star berated all of his students: Maxxine Dupri, Otis, and Akira Tozawa. He even tried to punish the former Heavy Machinery member, but was fortunately stopped by Sami Zayn.
WWE legend Bully Ray talked about the equation between Chad Gable and Otis
The story of The Alpha Academy is one of the best things happening in WWE right now. The company’s Hall of Famer, Bully Ray, discussed the dynamic between the student and his master, speculating that Otis might eventually turn on Chad Gable.

While speaking on the Busted Open Radio podcast, Ray stated that WWE should continue the storyline and make Otis more torn. He mentioned that since fans love the big guy and hate Gable, everything should work out great. Bully further added that the storyline could become so intense that many fans would want to see the faction’s leader go through a table.
Otis should be torn every single week: ‘What do I do? Do I stay with Chad or do I listen to the people?’ Chad Gable is one of those guys that I would personally build the story with, in which you would pay money to see him go through a table…Bully Ray via the Busted Open Radio

Bully Ray was extremely excited about the storyline, believing that everyone would benefit from it. He also praised the performances of Maxxine Dupri and Akira Tozawa during the segments. The loud chants for Otis during the latest episode of Raw signified that it would be a huge moment when he finally turns on Gable.
