WATCH: Big E walks around a week after neck-breaking injury

Big E is one of the most loved WWE Superstars on the roster today. When his main roster run had kicked off as a Heel supporting character. But the WWE Universe fell in love with him after he became a part of The New Day. The Tag Team including E, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods is the most successful team in the history of the company.

But over an year ago, the Tag Team had to break up after Big E was drafted to Smackdown, whereas Kingston and Woods went to Raw. While the move really hurt the fans, they were really impressed with the fact that E was finally getting his much awaited singles run. After showing his mettle in the singles division, E went on to win the Money in the Bank ladder match in 2021.

Many had expected him to go after Universal Champion Roman Reigns, but he crossed brands and successfully cashed in his contract on Raw. Big E pinned the then-Champion Bobby Lashley to kick off his first reign as the WWE Champion. He successfully defended his title against the likes of Lashley and Drew McIntyre.

His first Championship reign came to a sudden end after he was pinned by Brock Lesnar at Day 1, in a Fatal 5-Way match. Post this loss, Big E was shifted back to the Tag Team division. In a recent episode of Smackdown, he suffered a horrific accident, when he landed on his neck. The former WWE Champion ended up breaking his neck.

While he didn’t need to go through a surgery, he is currently on the road to recovery. Recently he provided an encouraging update to  his fans. The New Day member was seen walking around on the streets. “Got breath in my lungs, it’s a beautiful day, got my taco meat my chest hair out. So that’s what’s going on in my life. My neck might be broken, but my heart, it’s still in there,” he mentioned. You can checkout the full video here:

Xavier Woods will reportedly replace Big E

With the horrific neck injury, the former WWE Champion is all set to be out of action for the forseeable future. Big E was reportedly going to face Sheamus and Ridge Holland in a Tag Team match with Kofi Kingston. But the match is now set to receive a change.

King of the Ring winner Xavier Woods, who was out of action for the last several weeks is all set to return. He will be added to the match at Wrestlemania 38. While he is yet to make an appearance on WWE TV – he could appear in the coming weeks, or as a surprise at the Showcase of Immortals.
