On last week’s Raw, Rey Mysterio squared off against Logan Paul in an Elimination Chamber qualifying match. After a back-and-forth encounter, it was the social media megastar who punched his ticket to Toronto. If the loss wasn’t enough, Mysterio would later get attacked by The New Day. The former Tag Team Champions laid a vicious beatdown on the WWE Hall of Famer after Raw went off the air.
Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston injured Mysterio after hitting the legend with multiple chair shots to the knee. Taking to X, Woods sarcastically wished the Master of the 619 a steady recovery. In addition to that, Woods attached a clip of their beatdown on Raw. Needless to say, the duo finally grew frustrated with the disrespect and took it out on one of the most respected veterans in the locker room.

Last year, Woods and Kingston did the unthinkable when they kicked Big E out of the group. From there on, their co-workers wanted nothing to do with them, which led to Mysterio banning them from the locker room. This kickstarted a rivalry between The New Day and Mysterio’s LWO faction, which has been going on for several weeks.

The luchador legend gained back-to-back wins over Woods and Kingston. However, the record-breaking tag team champions took revenge by winning against Mysterio and his protege, Dragon Lee, the following week.
Now that Rey Mysterio is most likely set to miss weeks of action due to New Day’s attack, the rest of the LWO will have to step up to stop Woods and Kingston. Having said that, it will be interesting to see how things play out on tomorrow’s Raw episode.
Big E talks in detail about getting kicked out of The New Day
Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods’ heel turn on Big E was unexpected. For a decade, the trio forged an unbreakable bond, all for it to disappear on one night. While Woods and Kingston have moved on from the breakup, Big E has focused on his ventures outside of wrestling. Recently, the former WWE Champion spoke about how things have transpired since that night.

In an interview with X-Pod 97, Big E said he understood why his former teammates turned on him. The former Intercontinental Champion explained that he had moved on from it and was happy with the memories he created with the group. However, he does find fans who troll him constantly on social media irritating.
What really attracts me to our industry is those moments. I had never seen anything done like what we did in that ring before. I can’t think of any other turn that went the way it did.

Amidst his prolonged absence from in-ring competition, Big E has served as an analyst for WWE and secured prominent roles in the Hollywood industry. In fact, the 38-year-old star gained a voice actor role in the recent ‘Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man’ series.
