xQc on the r/place subreddit

Reddit introduced r/place on the 1st April of 2017 and it is getting love again from April 1, 2022. r/place is a collaborative project and social experiment hosted on the social networking site Reddit. The experiment involves an online canvas located on a subreddit called r/place, which registered users could edit by changing the color of a single-pixel from a 16-color palette. After each pixel was placed, a timer prevented the user from placing any pixels for a period of time varying from 5 to 20 minutes. Recently, XQC, the biggest streamer on twitch discovered r/place and started making havoc as expected.

xQc artwork gets censored by Reddit admins

xQc was collaborating with his viewers on stream to make art in the r/place subreddit when his fellow streamer Mizkif said, “They censored it, wait they censored it,”

After that Felix noticed that most of the pixels of his art turned black. xQc thought the admins of the subreddit could actually be “helping.” But xQc’s he quickly realized that he couldn’t be more wrong when the admins covered the pixel art a second time less than five minutes later. “So is this how we manipulate the fun game? We put something that is barely anything lewd onto a big canvas and just black it out,” Felix added.

Some of his followers even tried to recreate the art, they quickly got banned for 15 years from the subreddit.
