Because he didn’t urge others to vote, Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel stated he’s ‘not surprised’ he didn’t win the Streamer of the Year category at The Streamer Awards. He maintained, though, that this is not an excuse.

Ludwig created headlines with a record-breaking subathon, which lasted more than 3,500 hours and drew an average of 75,000 spectators every stream. Along with Sykkuno and Mizkif, they were nominated for the Streamer of the Year award at QTCinderella’s The Streamer Awards. However, only one contender could win, and that one was Ludwig.

Why was xQc not surpised by the outcome of the event?

xQc, on the other hand, was not surprised by the outcome. He said on the broadcast the next day, “How did this surprise, anyone?”

Then he explained why, arguing that the result was self-evident. He didn’t encourage people to vote for him since he didn’t want the situation to repeat itself from when he won the T-Mobile MVP award just at Overwatch World Cup in 2017. For perspective, he states that when he won the honour, “everyone got upset” because he advocated for voters to vote. He felt that all he received was a lifeless piece of metal as a result of this. As a result, he didn’t want it to happen again this time.

He stated “I’m so confused about how people even acted like I had a chance to win this,”

“When we did voting for content, I clicked on my own square and immediately turned off the page. I acted like it didn’t exist because I didn’t want to skew the votes to make it a popular vote.”

xQc, on the other hand, disputed that it was an excuse for him losing. “People can say whatever they want, but it’s not an excuse.” It’s more about winning accolades in situations where I can’t control them. It adds to the value of them.”

He also didn’t want to deprive Ludwig of anything. “I’m not implying that they requested votes. It was promoted by them. Don’t discount Ludwig’s victory. However, because I only stated it briefly, their admirers were much more conscious of it.”
