Yonex Thailand Open: Kidambi Srikanth pulls out due to calf-muscle strain
Indian ace shuttler, Kidambi Srikanth has pulled out of the ongoing Yonex Thailand Open on Thursday due to a calf muscle strain.
On Wednesday, fellow shuttler Parupalli Kashyap had also pulled out of his opening clash midway after sustaining a calf injury in the third game.
Srikanth takes to social media to announce news
On Wednesday, Kidambi Srikanth had prevailed over fellow Indian player, Sourabh Verma in just 31 minutes. He won 21-12, 21-11 in a straight-game victory.
However, he suffered a calf muscle strain and had to pull out. He took to social media to announce the news. “Very sad to let you all know that I have been advised to pull out of Thailand Open due to a calf muscle strain. I am hoping to be fit by next week for the next round of the Thailand leg,” he posted.
