The former Bellator Lightweight champion Michael Chandler announced his arrival in UFC by ruthlessly knocking out Dan Hooker in the very first round of UFC 257’s co-main event. With this win, he entered the number 4 spot in the Lightweight rankings.

‘Iron’ Mike Chandler now has his eyes on the title run and people are speculating him to face another violent UFC fighter, Justin Gaethje. Both of them are going back and forth with each other frequently nowadays.

With Dustin Poirier winning the fight against Conor McGregor and capturing the number one spot in the Lightweight rankings, Gaethje needs to get one more win before probably getting another title shot.

On the other hand, Michael Chandler also wants to get the title in his hands. For that, he is even ready to face Justin Gaethje and show him who the most violent fighter in UFC is. In his latest interview with Ariel Helwani, Chandler says,

“You had a guy who I tangled with a couple of times named Eddie Alvarez, who beat Justin Gaethje whenever they fought for the unofficial title of the most violent guy in mixed martial arts…, I think I’m the new most violent guy in the UFC.”

“If Justin Gaethje wants to prove that, he’s gonna need to step in the Octagon against me.”

Michael Chandler also gave a reply to Dustin Poirier saying Chandler needs to more work to face him

Following his win against Dan Hooker, Michael Chandler demanded an immediate title shot between him and Dustin Poirier. But ‘The Diamond’ denied his fight call by saying that Chandler needs some more wins before facing him inside the Octagon.

Talking about it Chandler added, “Don’t use the phrase ‘hasn’t earned it’ around me. I just came into your organization, I just came into the top 5, kicked down the door, knocked out a guy in two and half minutes that you couldn’t finish in 25 minutes.”

“I think I’ve cemented myself as a top guy”. With Chandler being on an absolute head hunt of the top 5 Lightweights of UFC against whom you want to see him stepping into the Octagon next?
