The former UFC double champion has a massive fan following and has the potential to sell out huge pay-per-view events. However, in his home country of Ireland, his reputation has recently taken a hit.

The random individual in the vlog mentioned that they used to like McGregor in his early days, but he isn’t the same anymore. He referred to the recent se*ual assault civil lawsuit, which McGregor lost and had to pay $250K for damages. Other than this, McGregor has consistently found himself in hot waters for various other reasons.
Irrespective of his inactivity, McGregor still manages to stay relevant and make headlines. Be it controversial or him doing something crazy, the ‘Notorious’ always seemed to enjoy his life. However, it is safe to say that the Irish fighter’s fan base has deteriorated with time.

Since then, he has suffered multiple losses, including the devastating beat down from Khabib Nurmagomedov.
In 2021, he lost back-to-back fights against Dustin Poirier and injured his leg, which further stalled his career. Since then, fans have remained eager for his comeback. However, the much anticipated comeback doesn’t seem to be going in the right direction. In the latest interview, the undefeated Ilia Topuria shared his opinions on the Irish icon.
That guy is so sick. He has some problems in his inside world. At the same time, when he was starting in mixed martial arts, he was an idol for all of us. He was a great fighter, represented great values. He did a lot for the sport, but at some point, he betrayed all the values that put him in that point.

McGregor is often seen partying having fun and sharing pictures online. The ‘Mystic Mac’ is also busy promoting BKFC which he partly owns. He has also talked about potentially fighting in bare-knuckle, but, as usual fans are skeptical about it.
