Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh opened up on the ongoing farmers’ protests around the Delhi border. Yuvraj expressed disappointment on his father Yograj Singh’s remarks made earlier this week. The world cup winning player took on Twitter to distance himself from ‘Yograj’s derogatory words’. He wrote that the statements had been made in an individual capacity and his ideologies are not the same in any manner.

Yuvraj, who is also celebrating his 39th birthday today, wished for a speedy resolution of the ongoing farmers’ concerns. The talks between the peasants and the central government are currently taking place at regular intervals.

“Birthdays are an opportunity to fulfil a wish or desire and this birthday, rather than celebrating, I only wish and pray for a swift resolution of the ongoing talks between our farmers and our government. Undoubtedly, farmers are the lifeblood of the nation and I truly believe that there is no problem which cannot be resolved through peaceful dialogue,” he posted on Twitter, highlighting his only wish from the occasion.
