A month after Swiss athleisure brand ‘On’ announced their partnership with Marvel and Euphoria star Zendaya, they dropped another commercial starring her and the man who owns a share in the company, Roger Federer.

Last month, On released a minute-long commercial advertising Zendaya as one of their new brand ambassadors. This news got mixed feedback but the American actor’s presence helped broaden horizons and increase the brand’s presence throughout the globe.

They have now followed that up with another commercial video in which even Roger Federer, who owns a 3% share in the company, is a co-star. Federer popularized the Swiss company by endorsing the shoes they designed for him towards the end of his career. He also supported them as an investor and helped the brand grow globally and continues to do so.

In the new video, Zendaya is showcased playing in a set of ‘air tennis’ against the Swiss Maestro where they just swing through thin air imagining how a ball, if present, would play. A seemingly silly activity was made to look like an intense match with music and editing to match each stroke.

Fans slam On for onboarding Zendaya as an ambassador when Iga Swiatek is on their roster

Zendaya has been a frequent sighting in the tennis world ever since her movie ‘Challengers’ came out. The movie, although critically acclaimed for the story, received some slack for its sub-par tennis scenes. Continuing the saga, Zendaya had to show her tennis skills once again in the On commercial and fans did not seem too impressed by that or the ad in general.

Iga Swiatek joined On about two years ago but is yet to receive attention and branding deals similar to the likes of what Zendaya has already gotten. This seemed to anger some fans who believe Swiatek should’ve been in this advertisement instead of a movie star who doesn’t play tennis.
