2021 ISSF Shooting World Cup

The second stage of the 2021 ISSF Shooting World Cup is all set to begin on 22nd June in Osijek, Croatia. This tournament will play out as the perfect practice arena for the Tokyo bound shooters.

The 12-day shooting event will feature 300 shooters from 53 countries. The Indian shooting contingent has been in Croatia for a month. They should be in good stead to continue the dominance they enjoyed in the first stage of the 2021 ISSF Shooting World Cup. The national shooting team bagged 30 medals, including 15 golds, in the first stage and established their superiority. The second stage will offer them an opportunity to compete with the best before the upcoming Tokyo Olympics.

They will get a chance to gauge their skills, improve on their shortcomings and be ready in time for the Olympics.

Athletes to watch out for

In the 2021 ISSF Shooting World Cup, young gun, Manu Bhaker and Saurabh Chaudhary are players to watch out for 10m air pistol. In 10m air rifle event Ace Indian shooter, Apurvi Chandela, Elavenil Valarivan, Deepak Kumar, and Divyansh Singh Panwar will look to give a solid performance before Tokyo Olympics. One of the leading figures in the Indian shooting, Rahi Sarnobat will be taking part in the women’s 25m pistol event.

The event will be live-streamed on the ISSF Live Stream Channel and the official YouTube channel. It will begin 5 minutes prior to the start of the competitions. ISSF’s social media account will also be posting regular updates.
