In the second match of the FIFA World Cup, England will play Iran and will look to grab all three points to put themselves in the driving seat of Group B. This is a very young and fresh squad compared to the 2018’s edition and lots of hope are on the boys and Gareth Southgate to bring the trophy back home after 1966.
Iran has been suffering from a lot of off-field problems and has been criticized a lot for the last few months and they even came close to getting banned from the World Cup. But it’s time for Quiroz’s men to show the world what they are capable of and prove their worth on the field and why they’re the number one side in Asia.

England have quite a few players that are still not 100% fit and Kyle Walker is one of them as he is still recovering from groin surgery. James Maddison who got a knock in the last Premier League match missed training earlier this week and could miss the opening game.
Iran on the other hand will miss the experienced Omid Ebrahimi due to a groin injury, and another top attacker Sardar Azmoun will be out of the match as well after tearing his calf muscle last month and Quieroz will look to go with Mehmi Taremi in place of Azmoun.
