On August 3 next month, WWE will stage their 37th annual SummerSlam event. With just a touch over three weeks to spare, it seems like Triple H and his men have already figured out what they’re going to put up on the card. Having said that, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio has provided an update on 7 matches that are currently confirmed to be on the schedule for The Biggest Party of the Summer.
In what could be the potential main event, Cody Rhodes looks set to defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Solo Sikoa. The newly anointed Tribal Chief broke some new ground when he pinned The American Nightmare at Money in the Bank last weekend in Toronto. Speaking of the other world title showdown, Damian Priest will put his World Heavyweight Championship up for grabs against Gunther.

Likewise, in the women’s division, Bayley is pegged to defend her WWE Women’s Championship against Nia Jax. On the other hand, Liv Morgan looks primed to lock horns with Rhea Ripley in the highly anticipated Women’s World title match. This week’s Raw witnessed the long-awaited return of Mami, with Dominik Mysterio merely a liaison between Morgan and Ripley at this point.
A couple of undercard matches will see Logan Paul defend his United States title against LA Knight. Whereas the one having the Intercontinental Championship around his waist, Sami Zayn seems to be on track for a rematch against Bron Breakker. Last, but certainly not the least, CM Punk is expected to make his in-ring return up against arch-nemesis Drew McIntyre. As of the last word, WWE was very hopeful of Punk getting cleared in time for SummerSlam.
Is Roman Reigns returning to WWE at SummerSlam?
The WWE Universe doesn’t seem elated at all with Solo Sikoa headlining WWE’s second biggest event of the year. However, that might just be the precursor to one of the most iconic comebacks in recent memory.

For those who guessed it right, yes it’s Roman Reigns who’s believed to be returning to WWE during the closing moments of SummerSlam in some capacity. The Head of the Table’s dream run at the top was halted by none other than Cody Rhodes, who’s expected to tango with Sikoa at the Cleveland Browns Stadium.
As the fans saw, Solo recently deemed Reigns incompetent over his debacle at WrestleMania XL. Roman’s Tribal Chief sobriquet has changed hands and he wouldn’t have forgotten what the Bloodline did to Paul Heyman on SmackDown at Madison Square Garden.
