Austin Rivers is riding with the successful but unfortunate run of the Los Angeles Lakers this year. It was a successful one as the team made it to the Western Conference Finals when they once were struggling at 2-10 during the start. And, it’s unfortunate because it came to an end without an NBA Title. As the LeBron James-led Los Angeles Lakers got swept out of contention by the Denver Nuggets. The fans have a lot of negative thoughts about the Lakers’ future, but Austin Rivers is a believer.

In Game 4 of the WCF, the Denver Nuggets wrapped up Los Angeles Lakers season. The game was closely contested and head-to-head and even came down to the final seconds. But the Denver Nuggets got the dub at 113-111. LeBron James in the game almost recorded a triple-double. As he dropped 40 points, 9 assists, and 10 rebounds. He was backed up by Anthony Davis’ 21 points and 14 boards. But those weren’t enough against the Nuggets led by 2×MVP Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray.

Now, the Lakers Nation wants the franchise to trade away the superstar duo and start a rebuild. As they have lost faith in the franchise and demand better-performing stars. But Minnesota Timberwolves’ Austin Rivers is high with his hopes for the Los Angeles-based franchise and is riding with them. Austin Rivers believes the Lakers had an incredible season and have more years to roll without rebuilding. As he claims down the disappointed fans.

The Lakers Nation is out of hope for the future of the franchise. They even want LeBron James traded away, as the rumors of him considering retirement are already out. But Austin Rivers wants them to relax instead of throwing out the negative stuff, as their franchise got an exit from the Western Conference Finals. Calming the fans down via an Instagram comment of his, Austin Rivers wrote: “Lakers fans…to the ones saying negative things. Or saying they need to trade Bron, Ad, etc. Relax, take a deep breath.”

Further, Austin Rivers detailing his reason while appreciating the run LeBron James-led Los Angeles Lakers had added: “Ur team just made it to the conference finals!! U were literally in a play-in-game weeks ago. So to make that run was impressive!! You had young players step up and get experience and improve. You have trade assets and a good supporting cast guys. Bron showed he’s still one of the best players in the world. AD is healthy and has a summer to get the body more right and stable.”

Talking about the future of the franchise, Austin Rivers wrote: “U go into summer make a couple of moves and improve cast in certain areas and come back with some encouraging positive energy, fresh off a conference finals appearance. I say the next 2-4 years could be exciting for the Lakers. Then maybe after that, u talk rebuild, etc. Good season overall for y’all?.”

Austin Rivers isn’t wrong with his take and that’s what the front office would also like to ride with. But right now the franchise is stuck between a lot many rumors and claims around the future of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and FA Kyrie Irving. Also, they are going to have a tough off-season retaining the young core back. But they really deserve a lot of respect for the rollercoaster season they had this year.
