Khamzat Chimaev is one of the most intriguing fighters in the sport. The Chechen fighter has yet to taste defeat and rides a 12-fight winning streak. UFC commentator and podcaster Joe Rogan discussed Khamzat Chimaev’s intense fights on his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience.
Joe Rogan and guest Shane Gillis discussed some of his legendary post-fight interviews. ” …like Khamzat Chimaev says after his rights, ‘” I kill them all… that’s a wild ride,” Rogan said. The 29-year-old fighter has won all of his six fights in the UFC. Impressed by his tremendous performance, Joe Rogan commended the talented fighter. He also acknowledged Khamzat’s intense energy and after-fight craziness. He is a wrestling powerhouse who remains unafraid to speak on the microphone.
The mentioned instance came from UFC 273. This is when Khamzat Chimaev went wild and challenged everybody. Khamzat Chimaev was pitted in a welterweight bout against Gilbert Burns. The fight went the full distance of three rounds. The judges granted the win in favor of Khamzat Chimaev. This is when Chimaev went wild on the microphone when Daniel Cormier came to interview him.
Cormier asked who Chimaev would want to see next in the octagon. Chimaev replied that he was coming for everybody. However, Chimaev fought one more time against Kevin Holland at UFC 279 before he was put on pause. Chimaev has not fought since UFC 279. Chimaev was definitely frustrated with the situation and desperately looked for a match-up throughout the period. He will face Paulo Costa in a middleweight bout almost a year later.

Khamzat Chimaev is preparing for his comeback in the middleweight against Paulo Costa. The fight will happen at UFC 294 in Abu Dhabi in October. The two will finally square off after a long-drawn verbal dispute on Twitter.

Chimaev previously used to fight in the welterweight division. However, for some time now, he had mentioned moving up a weight class and challenging everybody in the division again.
When he competes at UFC 294, Khamzat Chimaev will have rested from fighting for 11 months. This will be a fight against a different foe in a different category. Khamzat Chimaev has a professional record of 12 wins and 0 losses. Meanwhile, Paulo Costa has a professional record of 14 wins and two losses. Will Khamzat Chimaev be able to deliver and remain undefeated in this new division? Only time will tell.
