The 2-time Pro Bowl quarterback Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys are currently preparing for the upcoming NFL season. They are set to face their NFC East division rivals, New York Giants, in their season opener in a few days. Amidst the hectic training schedule, the Cowboys QB Prescott took some time to sign autographs for the fans.

In a video posted on the social media platform X by LawsNation, Prescott was seen quickly signing autographs for his fans, but perhaps he was a little too fast. The Cowboys QB accidentally signed a Green Bay Packers hat and only realized when it was a little too late. He showed instant regret once he realized what he had done.

“No way. Did I just sign a Packers hat? What the f–k?,” said the Cowboys signal-caller after realizing that he signed a Packers merchandise. “Excuse my language.” Prescott immediately apologized for his language after cussing in front of kids.

Prescott couldn’t be blamed for accidentally signing a Packers hat or the cussing. He was nice enough to sign autographs for kids and was trying to sign for as many people as he could.

Nonetheless, he is currently training for the upcoming season. Prescott’s job is in line since the Cowboys acquired the former third overall pick Trey Lance in a trade with the San Francisco 49ers just a few days ago. He is now looking to solidify his position as the starting QB of the Dallas-based football team with a great campaign in the 2023 NFL season.

Last week, the Cowboys’ general manager Jerry Jones made a shocking move to acquire quarterback Trey Lance from the 49ers in exchange for a 2024 fourth-round draft pick.

Furthermore, Jones also admitted that he wanted to draft the now-Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts back in 2020. Many believe Jones is sending a clear message to Prescott with those moves.

Still, Prescott, as the franchise’s current leader welcomed Lance to his squad with open arms per reports. “He welcomed me with open arms,” Lance told the reporters. “(Tuesday) was the first time I ran into him, but that meant a lot to me.”

Lance further said that he has nothing but a ton of respect for the veteran quarterback. Anyway, Prescott still has one more shot to win the Super Bowl ring with the Cowboys this season. Jerry Jones has assembled a great squad and now it’s up to Prescott to lead them to the championship glory.
