With the recently announced contract with Mercedes in place, Lewis Hamilton is slated to race in the F1 World Championship until 2025, when he will be around the age of 40. Formula 1 reporter Ted Kravitz claims the seven-time World Champion had no need to continue racing past the age of 35 since he has already amassed a lot of fame and money, but Lewis is still in the race as he is in search for the elusive eighth World Championship against Max Verstappen.

“Listen, justice for Abu Dhabi 2021. I know a lot of you will be thinking that. It keeps Lewis in the game.”, says Kravitz, as quoted by Crash.net. Ted seems to believe that the notorious moment back in 2021 keeps Lewis motivated enough to continue his search for a record-breaking title win. Hamilton’s contract gives him two chances to achieve immortality as the Best Driver in the history with even more titles than the legendary Michael Schumacher.

Ted Kravitz believes Lewis Hamilton has gotten the speed and motivation to go and clinch his 8th title. The SkySports reporter even believes Hamilton is here to stay beyond 2025, as he hints towards the Brit’s latest contract not being his final one.

Two-time World Champion Fernando Alonso claims Lewis Hamilton just switched to the right team at the right team to reap benefits of the rule changes to get his hands on an F1 title win. Rather than build a winning team as a driver, Alonso claims Lewis saw the right opportunity and went for it. The Spaniard says to De telegraaf, “It is often said that some drivers build winning teams, But when Lewis switched to Mercedes in 2013, he created nothing.”

The duo of Hamilton and Alonso are known for their fierce rivalry, which began with Hamilton’s debut in 2007, as the pair battled for the F1 Championship as teammates. Alonso’s remarks somehow reduce Hamilton’s credit for winning 6 world titles with Mercedes and he says it was all because of perfect ‘timing’. The two-time world champion also said the same about Verstappen but was a bit kinder to him while mentioning the closeness of the fabled 2021 clash between Lewis and Max.
