Daren Waller, who plays as the tight end for the New York Giants, is all set to miss four games due to a hamstring injury. Waller departed the game against the New York Jets on Sunday. The Giants squad has already put him on the list of injured players.

Injury has remained a primary concern for him in his career at the Giants. When they traded him from his ex-team Las Vegas Raiders, they had this concern. In two seasons, the TE had only played 17 games due to injuries.

However, he was in great form this season. He led the charge for the Giants with his number of receptions. As a veteran player in this league, he is also doing justice to his name. In eight games, the TE has registered 36 receptions and 384 yards. Hence, his ruling out seems to be a big concern for his teammates.

The Giants had a poor start to this season. They won only two out of their eight games and their season seems almost over. Hopes for playoffs have already been shattered and the team will be focusing on the next season. In this case, the injury can affect their hopes for the next season.

Waller is frustrated with the injury, and it might take a bit longer to be fit. The TE is frustrated since injuries have occurred to him multiple times. Last season, he missed nine games due to a similar kind of injury. The fitness concern is taking a major role in his career.

Potentially. The amount of weeks I'm not that sure. But it may take a little bit.

Darren Waller has a history of being injury-prone

This is not the first time Darren is going to miss games due to injuries. The player played 20 matches combined in 2021 and 2022. Last season, he missed eight games due to injury. The player recently opened himself up regarding his missing encounters with the press. He said,

The main reason I missed eight games last year was trying to come back and aggravating it two or three times in practice where nobody could really see it.

Waller is not the only problem that the Giants are having. They have a long list of injuries. Backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor is also out due to injuries and is expected to miss a few games. Regular QB Daniel Jones has not recovered yet. With the number of injuries and poor performance on the pitch, they have little hope left for the season.

Coach Brian Daboll needs to find a solution quickly. The condition is so bad that they recently traded their DL Leonard Williams to the Seattle Seahawks, and the player took a jibe at his former team right after joining the Seahawks. The former Giants man said that he wanted to be a part of a winning squad, clearly a dig at his old team.
