Another postseason trip, another massive failure for Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys. And this time, it’s not even against the San Francisco 49ers! On Sunday, the Cowboys went against their rivals Green Bay Packers in the wildcard weekend. During the crucial weekend game, the Packers defensive tackle Kenny Clark laid a questionable hit on Prescott and received a personal foul.

During the third quarter of the game, the Cowboys were facing a 20-point deficit and were looking to convert a crucial third down and 2. Prescott tried to get the 2 yards using his legs, but he was immediately met and brought down by the Packers’ star defensive tackle Kenny Clark.

Clark laid a straight helmet-to-helmet hit on Prescott before tackling him down, getting a crucial stop for the Packers on 3rd down. However, following the tackle, Clark was called for a personal foul for grabbing the facemask of the Cowboys’ former All-Pro quarterback. Check out the footage of the tackle attached below.

The facemask penalty gave the Cowboys the first down and kept their drive alive. However, it didn’t really matter in the end since the Packers humiliated the Dallas-based football team on Sunday. After suffering a huge deficit early, Prescott was forced to throw a lot during the wildcard game.

As a result, Prescott attempted a whopping 60 passes and completed 68.3% of his pass attempts for 403 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also carried the rock 6 times for 45 yards, while averaging 7.5 yards per attempt. However, Prescott’s 2 interceptions proved to be costly in the end as the Cowboys suffered a massive 48-32 loss on Sunday and were eliminated from the postseason contention.

I sucked tonight. And that’s it. … It’s about winning, and winning in the playoffs.
Prescott told reporters

Furthermore, when asked about how the Cowboys can overcome their constant playoff failures in the future, the Pro Bowl quarterback said he wished he “had that answer”.

Nonetheless, with that loss, the Cowboys have been eliminated from the postseason and will now go back to the drawing board to put together a better team for their next season.

As for the Packers, they have qualified for the second round of the NFL playoffs and will now wait for the result of the other wildcard games to finish to find out who will be their next opponents in the divisional round.
