Imagine sitting opposite the most dangerous trash-talker, who can dumb down and dull your instincts just by words. It’s like dabbling in mental chess. No, we are not talking about legendary trash-talker Chael Sonnen. We are referring to his son. Renowned for his vibrant persona and sharp quips, Sonnen is famous as the guy who revolutionized sh*t-talking. But all fans knew his “undefeated” gag would end someday soon.

“Bad Guy” Sonnen delivered an all-time great trash-talking promo back in 2011 with Wanderlei Silva. But even the best faces defeat sometimes. During a recent promotional clip for JOCKO FUEL, he and his son Thero Sonnen are visible in footage together. The former UFC title challenger, infamous for his witty comebacks, plays chess with his son. While the camera rolls, Thero notoriously flips the script on him, saying –

Sonnen found himself momentarily dumbfounded by his son’s remarks. In an act of whimsy, he jokingly imitated the delivery of “street justice” by pretending to beat him with a belt. Anderson Silva vs. Chael Sonnen is often dubbed as one of the greatest rivalries in MMA history. Hence, naturally, such commentary would sting.

Silva and Chael Sonnen have maintained a renewed sense of friendship and amiability though. The duo got together in the recent past to watch Anderson ‘Spider’ Silva’s new documentary. A prime reaction at Theor’s diss read – “No DNA test needed.” And it isn’t the only one.
