Tyler Booker’s dream came true. He is now a Dallas Cowboy. But is Micah Parsons happy?
Parsons was at the Bleacher Report’s NFL draft watch party on Thursday night with Pittsburgh Steelers corner Darius Slay Jr. One by one, Cam Ward, Travis Hunter, and Ashton Jeanty were off the board within the first 11 picks.
The 12th overall draft pick this year belonged to the Cowboys because they finished 7-10 last season. When the Cowboys were on the clock, the camera zoomed in on Micah Parsons‘ face for an unfiltered reaction.
Roger Goodell, NFL commissioner, called out Tyler Booker’s name. Booker was pumped. He hugged some of his family members and rushed to collect the Cowboys’ hat.
Meanwhile, Parsons sat motionless with a poker face. Darius Slay found the star pass-rusher’s face amusing and began to chuckle. Parsons finally broke from his trance and said that he liked the Booker draft. However, he wanted to see a defensive player in a Dallas jersey.
Hold on, hold on. I am excited about the [Tyler Booker to Cowboys] pick. This guy is a beast. He is a beast and I look at him with Tyler Smith, guard on guard with Zack Martin leaving—this one of them picks, I mean wow, he’s a beast… I just wanted to see [some drafted] on my side of the ball. That’s it. But this guy is a beast and I’m not mad at the pick.

Whether anyone bought Parsons’ explanation is a debate for another time. Nevertheless, as Parsons mentioned, Booker slots in the vacant spot left by 7x All-Pro guard Zack Martin.
Booker becomes the third offensive lineman drafted by the Cowboys in the last three drafts. In 2022, they took Tyler Smith, who bagged two Pro Bowls in the past two years, and Tyler Guyton in 2023.
Tyler Booker is ecstatic to join the Cowboys
After completing his unveiling ritual to the fans at Green Bay, Booker joined live through FaceTime. The host of the Bleacher Report’s watch party revealed that there’s a saying that other players start hating football after going up against Booker. He wanted to know if this was true.

Booker nodded in approval of the rumor. The 6-foot-5, 321-pounder gave a bold reply.
Football is a child’s game. So people wake up and be like, ‘Man! I can’t wait to play this football game today. They take all the pre-workout and get so excited to play football until they come across Tyler Booker and when I am going after you, quarter after quarter, play after play, series after series and I start to see that love leave their eyes and that’s what makes me love the game.

Booker was cut short in his monologue because his answer made Parsons very excited. Parsons started screaming, ‘Goddamn!’ “You just got me hyped!!!,” Parsons shouted.
Booker’s answer was so impactful that even Slay joined the bandwagon.
Hey! He’s got me ready to go. He got me ready to go. I ain’t gonna lie.

Parsons then officially recognized Booker as a Cowboy.
Hey man! Welcome to the team.

Before exchanging virtual high-fives with Parsons, Booker spoke with ESPN and expressed his excitement about being drafted by the Dallas Cowboys.
This is really a dream come true. is getting the same thing Alabama got. They’re getting a leader, somebody who loves to work, someone who loves to practice. Someone who loves his teammates, somebody who is going to strain to win multiple championships.
