The most trending debate on the internet right now is how 100 men would fare against 1 Gorilla. That trend has seen Dwight Howard come to the forefront after a podcaster asked his viewers if 100 specimens of the center were enough.

To beat a Gorilla, the 100 men have to be both big and strong. Along with that, they have to have the will to defeat the animal no matter how much punishment they take. The NBA features some of the biggest and strongest athletes in the world.

Players like Steven Adams are renowned for their strength. The New Zealander has handled some of the biggest players in the league, often toying with them. Others have spoken about how they have learnt the hard way on how strong he is.

Then there are players who are just dominant on the court. For example, Shaquille O’Neal. This gave Dwight Howard an idea and he took to twitter to suggest a team of 100 NBA monsters who would take on that 1 Gorilla.

The soon-to-be Hall of Famer added 50 Shaquille O’Neal’s to form the bulk of the NBA team. Then he added 20 versions of Detroit Pistons center Isaiah Stewart. Stewart is known for his combative nature, which is what prompted Howard to include him.

Then he added 15 units of Draymond Green, 10 clones of himself along with five of Steven Adams. The idea is to combine the strengths of O’Neal, himself and Adams, along with the fiery never backing down mentality of Stewart and Green.

Dwight Howard chose to follow a Gorilla’s diet

Dwight Howard might have included himself in that list of 100 NBA monsters who would take on a Gorilla. But he was even bigger and stronger in his first few years in the league. Then he changed his diet after learning how one can become stronger without resorting to junk food.

I’m not vegan, but I might have to go vegan, because I found out that some of the strongest people on earth were vegan. For example, gorillas. They don’t eat no meat and they’re the strongest.

He said this to Shannon Sharpe an episode of Club Shay Shay. Sharpe was surprised by the NBA champion’s logic, considering he is also a workout junkie. But Howard clarified that he was struggling with health issues, and he had to change his diet to be able to continue playing basketball.

A rejuvenated Howard joined the Los Angeles Lakers for a second time ahead of the 2019 season. He accepted a reduced bench role to help LeBron James and Anthony Davis in their pursuit of an NBA title. Finally, his dream materialized as the Lakers won the 2020 NBA championship in the bubble.

Shaquille O’Neal believes Gorilla’s identify with him

Dwight Howard added 50 versions of Shaquille O’Neal to help deal with the size of a Gorilla. Surprisingly, the four-time NBA champion once claimed that he identified with the animal. This is what he said on his podcast.

True story. I’ve been to every zoo in the world, and every time I go to the gorilla section, they look at me like, ‘hey man, where your fur at?’ For real. For real. That’s how they look at me. They also look at me like, ‘What am I doing in here and you out there?’ And they always go crazy when they see me.

Shaquille O’Neal said

This claim might be as wild as it comes, but O’Neal has claimed many such things in the past. Such as his famous theory about the distance to the moon that sent his Inside the NBA colleagues into splits. But he could have a point considering he is big enough to be confused with the animal.
