AJ Brown bagged his second ring in three months. After winning his first-ever Super Bowl in February, the Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver announced his engagement with longtime girlfriend Kelsey Riley.

Brown’s official X handle shared a glimpse of the couple’s special day. The video opened with the camera zooming in on a high rise—possibly the location of the engagement ceremony.

It cuts to the interior, which was gorgeously decorated with colorful flowers on a snow-white backdrop. In one corner, a neatly assembled dining table with the initials AK painted on the menus.

In another corner, a giant piano sat ready for someone to play. And sure enough, John Legend’s ‘You & I [Nobody In the World]’ began to play in the background. The three-time Grammy winner himself made an appearance as Brown and Riley slowly entered the frame.

Brown, in an all-purple two-piece suit, held Riley’s left hand, who looked mesmerizing in a black gown, walked side by side as emotional family members cheered and captured the moment on their phones.

The three-time Pro Bowler wide receiver went down on his knees and put the engagement ring on Riley’s finger to make their union official. One by one, every guest, including Legend, congratulated the couple.

Several of AJ Brown’s former and current Eagles teammates were invited to the ceremony. DeVonta Smith, Darius Slay Jr., Isaiah Rodgers, Reed Blankenship, and a couple of others took a group photo with the man of the hour. Riley did the same with her girlfriends.

There were notable absentees. Neither Super Bowl LIX MVP Jalen Hurts nor 2024 NFL Offensive Player of the Year Saquon Barkley—anyone from the Eagles coaching staff—appeared on the video.

How long did AJ Brown and Kelsey Riley date each other before getting engaged?

Riley, a Louisiana native and healthcare worker, fell in love with Brown when he was still with the Tennessee Titans. As per People magazine, they welcomed son Arthur Juan Brown Jr. in September 2022. Brown also has a daughter named Jersee from a previous relationship.

Riley has been a constant supporter of Brown and vice versa. A Facebook post from Riley on Brown’s birthday provided proof of how much the pair has stood by each other during daunting challenges.

Riley, after completing her nursing training, accepted the job as a patient access representative at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Houston, Texas.

Brown, on the other hand, continued to dominate on the field for the Eagles. Following his move from the Titans in 2022, he led the NFC East franchise to Super Bowl LVII. Brown put up 6 receptions for 96 yards and one receiving touchdown, but the Eagles lost the game 38-35 to the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Eagles looked set to make another push in 2023. After going 11-6 in the regular season, Nick Sirianni’s Eagles were blown away 32-9 by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the wildcard round.

In 2024, the Eagles acquired Barkley, and he broke every franchise rushing record en route to the Super Bowl. Fans had the chance to witness Brown’s reading habits aside from scoring touchdowns.

The final game of the campaign was a rematch of the 2022 Super Bowl against the Chiefs. On this occasion, the AFC team conceded a 40-22 defeat, and Brown bagged his first-ever ring. He finished with 67 receptions for 1079 yards and seven touchdowns from 13 appearances.
