Becky Lynch is undeniably one of WWE’s biggest stars, a true legend who has broken barriers for women’s wrestling. Among fans, she has gained popularity through the viral meme “Becky Hogan.” In a recent interview, Lynch addressed these memes and expressed her curiosity about why fans are comparing her to someone like Hulk Hogan.
Speaking on Raw Recap, Becky Lynch expressed her frustration with how fans have been treating her. She stated that she has given everything to the world of professional wrestling, yet feels she receives little respect in return. In a bold statement, the former Women’s Champion called Hulk Hogan a “scummy person,” and said it was extremely disrespectful to be compared to someone like him.
My nose doesn’t like sit perfectly straight anymore. My shoulder is popping out. I’ve got scars on my arms. All of this because of what I’ve given to this industry. Like I wear the scars of what I’ve done on my body. I wear them. I wear them with pride because of all I’ve given back. And these people go around, they compare me to this scummy person on earth? After everything I’ve done, after everything that I’ve done for them.

The former Women’s World Champion added that her nose has lost its shape and her shoulders have lost their structure from years in the ring, yet all people seem to care about is accusing her of taking opportunities and labeling her as the villain. She echoed a similar sentiment during her appearance on Raw, where she claimed she actually did the fans a favor by taking Bayley out of WrestleMania.

Coming to her Raw appearance, Lynch was outsmarted by Lyra Valkyria with a roundhouse kick. She then went on to deliver a bold NightWing. It was enough to put on a statement before the highly anticipated showdown between the two ladies at Backlash 2025. It is going to be interesting to see if The Man will be able to take the title from The Bird Lady this weekend.
Becky Lynch took an aim at the entire women’s division for the past year
Becky Lynch was absent from WWE for most of last year, focusing on her writing projects and live reality shows. During her time away, the women’s division on Monday Night Raw was largely carried by Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley. In the same interview, The Man took a jab at their rivalry, calling it mediocre.

Big Time Becks stated that during her absence from WWE, the women’s division lost its momentum. She believes everyone is pretending they had a great year, despite the lack of real progress. Taking aim at Liv Morgan’s on-screen boyfriend, Dominik Mysterio, she referred to him as “some bloke with a dodgy-looking mustache.”
Oh, ‘they had a great year’, ooh. What are you talking about? ‘They had a great year’. Frickin’ Women’s World Title revolved around some bloke with a dodgy looking mustache. What are you talking about, ‘they had a great year’?

Lynch made it clear that her mission is to restore the women’s division to its former glory—starting with a victory over Lyra Valkyria. While the Rhea Ripley vs. Liv Morgan feud wasn’t necessarily dull, it did receive considerable criticism from fans for its repetitiveness. It remains to be seen whether Dominik Mysterio or Liv Morgan will respond to Lynch’s remarks in the coming days.
Becky Lynch to defeat Lyra Valkyria at Backlash to become the new Women’s Intercontinental Champion?
Lyra Valkyria faces a major challenge at Backlash as she goes head-to-head with WWE legend Becky Lynch. However, with this being Lynch’s first singles match since her return, many believe WWE may be hesitant to have her take a loss right away. This has sparked speculation among fans: will The Man defeat The Bird Lady, or does Valkyria have what it takes to retain her title?

There’s a strong possibility that The Man could become the new Women’s Intercontinental Champion this Saturday. Big Time Becks is a megastar with a significant presence in pop culture, and placing a championship on an icon like her could help elevate both the title and the entire women’s division.
Furthermore, a loss could set Valkyria on a compelling redemption arc, where she chases the title throughout the summer and potentially reclaims it at SummerSlam. That said, it will be interesting to see what direction WWE takes with this feud moving forward.
