He played a pivotal role in putting Dagestan on the global map through his unmatched MMA pedigree and dominant wrestling skills. To extend his legacy further, Nurmagomedov recently inaugurated a world-class training facility aimed at nurturing future champions from Dagestan.

Nurmagomedov’s new training center stands proudly riverside in Sildi, the same village where his legendary MMA journey first began. MMA podcaster Adam Zubayraev recently shared exclusive visuals, showcasing a surreal facility with pristine design and a naturally inspiring environment. The towering mountain backdrop reinforces the iconic narrative: warriors born in the mountains with discipline, ready to dominate globally.

Nurmagomedov’s estimated net worth exceeds $40 million, earned through fighting, endorsements, business ventures, and gifts from powerful allies. He earned millions from headline fights like UFC 229 against Conor McGregor, reportedly making over $6 million excluding pay-per-view shares. In his social media story, the ‘Eagle’ made a sneaky remark on the ‘Notorious’ for helping him earn that money.

When I came back home I invested that into this beautiful land in Dagestan. This training base has an interesting story. I want to add that these investments want pay off money wise and I never had such goal. My goal was different

Following his retirement, Nurmagomedov gave all his time to coaching and successfully helped Islam Makhachev to become a champion. He has also coached his cousins, Usman, to become the PFL champion and Umar to be a top contender. This has hugely boosted his reputation as a coach and as a businessman, and he knows how to capitalise it. 

Nurmagomedov received luxury cars and lavish gifts from Russian elites and Saudi royals, impressed by his victories and global Muslim representation. He smartly invested in fitness chains, founded Eagle FC, and secured endorsement deals with Reebok and Gorilla Energy, building his business empire. Umar Nurmagomedov shared training facility videos, likely preparing there to bounce back from his earlier disappointing and unexpected title loss.

It won’t be surprising to see Makhachev training at this facility ahead of his upcoming welterweight title fight preparation. He’s expected to face Jack Della Maddalena, who recently beat Belal Muhammad at UFC 315, to capture the welterweight belt. He has defended his lightweight title a record four times and is now focused on getting the welterweight belt.

Other than fighting, Makhachev enjoys horse riding, gymnastics, and other sports that keep and physically well-rounded. However, his greatest passion appears to be mountain biking, and he recently flexed his enduro motorcycle for rugged outdoor rides. Khabib Nurmagomedov, understanding the risks involved, expressed concern on social media about potential injuries from such extreme sports.

Makhachev recently faced heavy criticism for vacating lightweight and allegedly avoiding a highly anticipated showdown with Ilia Topuria. Critics argue he’s dodging challenges, but others note the welterweight division is stacked with dangerous title contenders and elite strikers.

Ultimately, fans are eager to see whether this bold division move proves smart or backfires against more physically dominant opponents. All answers will be received by the end of the year, and if it backfires, there is a chance that Makhachev vs. Topuria could happen in 2026.
