WWE ran a couple of Money in the Bank ladder match qualifying matches on this week’s SmackDown. On the men’s side, LA Knight beat Shinsuke Nakamura and Aleister Black to advance. As for the women, Giulia emerged victorious against Charlotte Flair and Zelina Vega. The Megastar has joined Solo Sikoa and four other men, who are yet to qualify.

The Beautiful Madness, on the other hand, pretty much knows what she’s up to. Giulia will make her MITB ladder match debut against the likes of Rhea Ripley, Roxanne Perez, Alexa Bliss, and two more women. Next week, Jade Cargill, Nia Jax, and Naomi will battle it out in a triple threat match to determine the fifth woman in that highly competitive field.

While it’s an unprecedented experience for someone like Giulia, who’s been fast-tracked to the main roster, Knight has something to prove. He has competed in the last two iterations of the MITB ladder match. The Defiant One came oh-so-close to unhooking that dangling briefcase in 2023. However, Damian Priest rained on his parade. Could this year finally be it for Knight?

He and Sikoa will be joined by either Jacob Fatu, Carmelo Hayes, or Andrade, as the three of them are set for a qualifying match on next week’s SmackDown. It’d be interesting to see how the rest of the field shapes up as the PLE slated for June 7 at the Intuit Dome isn’t that far away.

What message did R-Truth have for John Cena on SmackDown?

As it’s known, R-Truth will take on John Cena at Saturday Night’s Main Event in a non-title match. It stemmed from the Peacemaker actor attacking the 53-year-old vet at the Backlash post-show press conference. On this week’s SmackDown, Truth had some warning shots for the wrestler-turned-actor. The former Judgment Day member asserted that Cena has isolated himself with all the power he’s got.

Moreover, Truth said that the Undisputed WWE title isn’t something that Cena calls a precious thing for him; instead, it’s his ego. The former US Champion further claimed that he didn’t like the kind of man Cena has become.

Truth wants his childhood hero back, who has made it his priority to ruin wrestling. The devastating impact Cena can unleash upon wrestling remains the final arc of his WWE career. The record-setting 24/7 Champion stressed that if he were to save wrestling, he’d have to save The Cenation Leader first.

Truth said he doesn’t want to put his hands on the Ricky Stanicky star, but he’d beat some hustle, loyalty, and respect back into Cena if it comes down to that on Saturday. One might wonder if that’s where Cody Rhodes eventually makes his return. The Franchise Player is likely to brutalize Truth at SNME. It’d need a babyface like Rhodes to save The Suntan Superman from the claws of Cena.

WWE planning star-studded tag team showdown for Money in the Bank

In what could be the potential main event match of the night at Money in the Bank, WWE has Travis Scott up its sleeve. A recent report from PWInsider has revealed that Scott has been discussed to team up with John Cena and Logan Paul to take on the trio of Cody Rhodes and The Usos.

The initial response to this hasn’t been positive. In fact, the netizens are miffed with Scott’s constant involvement in Cena’s retirement tour. If Jey Uso retains his world heavyweight title against The Maverick at Saturday Night’s Main Event, that’d mean he’s not penciled in for a title defense at Money in the Bank, as per the aforementioned report.

If that happens, both Uso and Cena, the current world champions, wouldn’t be entitled to put their title belts up for grabs on a major PLE like MITB, which already has a lot of fans up in arms. The only outsider in the match, Travis Scott, is undergoing wrestling training with Booker T.
