Angel Cabrera claimed his second straight win on Sunday. The 2-time major champion clinched his 2nd straight senior major as he won the 2025 Senior PGA Championship. His win ignited some wild reactions among golf fans on social media.
The Argentine golfer has been a controversial figure on the PGA Tour. In 2021, the 2009 Masters Champion was handed a two-year prison sentence on charges of domestic assault against his former partner.
He was released on parole in August 2023. A few months after his release, Cabrera was allowed to participate in PGA Tour-sanctioned events.
This year, he marked his return to the Augusta National as he competed in the Masters Tournament for the first time since 2019. A week ago, he won his first Senior major title as he emerged victorious at the Regions Tradition.
This week, in the final round, he saw off 3-time major champion Padraig Harrington. The 55-year-old took the lead at the 15th hole.
As Harrington made a double bogey on this hole, Cabrera birdied this hole. On the final par-4 18th hole, Harrington made another bogey. Cabrera needed just a bogey to win it. He did what was required of him and won again.

Cabrera finished the event 8-under par with scores of 72, 69, 70, and 69. Harrington had to settle for a runner-up finish alongside Thomas Bjorn, who both finished at 7-under par, one shot behind Cabrera.
