It seems like WWE is finally building towards the long-teased breakup of Jacob Fatu from Solo Sikoa‘s remnants of The Bloodline. On this week’s SmackDown, Sikoa was seen comforting a dissonant JC Mateo. The latter had lost a singles match against Jimmy Uso after an inadvertent collision with Fatu on the ring apron.

Mateo blamed the reigning US Champion for his loss. Sikoa then relayed to The Hawaiian Hulk that he didn’t need to worry about Fatu. The former Tribal Chief affirmed that The Samoan Werewolf still loved him. Sikoa, however, started unraveling his actual stance on Fatu, saying that the latter only cares about himself.

The Street Champion also mocked Fatu’s catchphrase and quipped that he’s “all gas and no brains.” Once Sikoa and Mateo exited the spot, The Samoan Werewolf, who was eavesdropping on his teammates, came out with a look of disgust on his face.

It needs to be mentioned that Sikoa and Mateo are to be held accountable for Fatu’s debacle last week, where he failed to qualify for the Money in the Bank ladder match. The 33-year-old had Carmelo Hayes and Andrade beat. However, Sikoa and Mateo got a bit too animated and started barking orders at Fatu, which were enough to distract the former NWA Champion.

Later in a backstage segment, Fatu made it crystal clear to Sikoa that he doesn’t need his help at all. The cracks are all over the place, and it’d be interesting to see who between the two snaps first. At this stage, Fatu is expected to be the babyface to gain further momentum from the feud.

Jacob Fatu and Bron Breakker had an intense staredown on SmackDown

This week’s SmackDown was kicked off by Seth Rollins and his newly assembled crew. The Visionary reaffirmed the modus operandi of his stable by noting that they’d wipe out each and every one who stood in their way. Take, for instance, Sami Zayn, CM Punk, and Roman Reigns, who have all tried but had to bite the bullet, added Rollins.

The Rollins-led faction was soon interrupted by Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, and JC Mateo. Sikoa made some witty jabs at The Architect’s insurance policies, viz., Bron Breakker, whom Sikoa wondered if he were akin to the right-hand man of Rollins’ version of the Bloodline.

The erstwhile enforcer of Reigns also quipped if “Big” Bronson Reed was cosplaying the Honorary Uce. Seeing Sikoa turn the tables on his men, Rollins cut him off and tried telling the former NXT North American Champ that he needed to worry about being betrayed by his own family. By saying so, The Visionary was alluding to Fatu.

Rollins joked about whether Sikoa would let Fatu speak or not and later coined a nickname for the US Champion—Solo’s b*tch. At the very end of that heated segment, Fatu and Breakker came face-to-face but didn’t trade any physical blows. The fans in attendance were hyped for their confrontation and wanted way more out of it.

Jacob Fatu’s betrayal could cost Solo Sikoa the Money in the Bank contract

WWE will present its Money in the Bank PLE on Saturday night from Los Angeles. Without a shadow of a doubt, the fans are most intrigued by the respective MITB ladder matches. As per a recent report from WrestleVotes, Seth Rollins and Solo Sikoa are being considered as the frontrunners to claim the briefcase.

They did exchange some words on SmackDown last night. Both of them, however, may not climb the ladder and retrieve the briefcase. In Rollins’ case, a Roman Reigns return is heavily expected to derail his ambition of becoming a two-time Mr. Money in the Bank.

As for Sikoa, he might be due for that inevitable betrayal by Jacob Fatu, who has every reason in the world to get one up on his ex-boss. Other participants in the ladder match include LA Knight, El Grande Americano, Penta, and Andrade. Could any one of them pull a rabbit out of their hats? Knight may have an outside chance at the MITB contract.
