It’s been a pretty one-way street as far as these incidents are working out. That means Hocevar into the bumper of Stenhouse, and I think Ricky had had enough. Hocevar was a lap down and that’s really the part Carson has to get better at.

Kevin Harvick said via Happy Hour podcast.

The veteran asserted that the No:77 Chevy driver currently lacks some common sense, regarding how to race the rivals. He warned the youngster that Stenhouse Jr. might wreck him one day when he is close to winning a race, in retaliation for the multiple run-ins they have been part of so far in the 2025 Cup season.

He has to have some common sense about the scenarios he’s dealing with because it’s going to be a day he’s leading the race and going to lap Stenhouse, and Stenhouse is going to wipe his ass out. That’s how these things work.

Kevin Harvick added.

Further talking about the point, the ex-RCR driver boldly stated that Carson Hocevar has the raw speed, which many in the garage can’t match, but doesn’t have the common sense on how to deal with run-ins into situation like the Mexico City crash. To win races, the drivers have to be rational and calculated when taking risks.

Carson’s got the speed, he just doesn’t have all the common sense that goes with dealing with on-track scenarios like this and not getting himself into them.

You have to play the politics of Cup racing. You can say you don’t care about it, but it will handle itself if you don’t care about it.

Kevin Harvick said.

Further talking about the point, Harvick admitted that there is lot for Hocevar to learn and figure out how to handle the situation. The youngster has to find the balance between when to drive fast and when to remain calm during the events.

He definitely hasn’t figured that out yet. I don’t know if he’s wired to figure that part out because he’s so wired to go full steam every lap. But there is a balance. Speed and brains have to factor together to win at Cup racing.

Kevin Harvick added.

The comments from Kevin Harvick seems to be on point and something the young racer should listen to. He has to find the right balance between aggression and racing to become a NASCAR champion. It would be interesting to see how everything is going to playout for the star driver in the coming months.
