Odell Beckham Jr. is still searching for a new team after the Miami Dolphins waived him in December last year. Now 32, OBJ’s pull as a wide receiver is not what it used to be.

There are a few teams that require a veteran receiver, but will they lean toward a guy who hasn’t set foot in a locker room since week 9 of the 2024 season? Beckham understands that better than anyone else.

Amidst his quest to find a new club, the Pro Bowler attended the 2025 Fanatics Fest and immediately met with a familiar inquiry. During the Q&A session, one fan shouted at OBJ to “go back to the Giants.”

Odell Beckham Jr. did not waste any time and replied,“I got you.”

The New York Giants are among the teams that could use a veteran presence to guide their inexperienced receiver room. More importantly, he will share the field with Malik Nabers, who has been dubbed the next OBJ.

On Malik Nabers today: I have not seen a receiver have a practice like he did today since Odell. I wish I could give you more than words and the video is the team opts to put out. Jumped off the page, so to speak. If this were training camp, my word.

Both Beckham and Nabers crossed 1200 yards in their rookie season.

Odell Beckham Jr. once revealed that he never wanted to leave the Giants

The Giants drafted OBJ near the twilight years of quarterback Eli Manning. Beckham still established an instant connection to the Giants’ great, recording four 1000-yard seasons before the Giants decided he was surplus to needs.

Despite signing a five-year, $95 million contract extension with the Giants, with $41 million fully guaranteed, with a total of $65 million in guarantees in 2018, Beckham was traded to the Cleveland Browns.

He lasted just 29 games in Cleveland before his father forced a move to the Los Angeles Rams, where he won his first and only ring so far. The Rams declined to extend his stay in LA, leaving him to bounce around from Baltimore to Miami before entering free agency.

In a recent interview with CBS Sports, Beckham revealed that he wanted to finish his career with the team that drafted him.

I never, ever wanted to leave the New York Giants… This was the organization I got drafted to. They believed in me. So if the Giants went and won a Super Bowl, I would be happy… I went to the LA Rams and won a Super Bowl. But still, you just want that.

Beckham has played 119 games, caught 575 passes for 7987 yards, and scored 59 touchdowns in his 11 NFL seasons. The Giants, particularly Brian Daboll and Joe Schoen, could use all the help they can get.

If a previous player offers his services, they should accept it since he knows the culture and has won a Super Bowl, like Russell Wilson, who announced at the same Fanatics Fest event that he had signed with the Giants to play with Nabers.

It’s funny, my locker is actually the same locker that I had when we won the Super Bowl. The second thing is, my locker is right next to this dude, who is the best receiver in the league.

Russell Wilson said

The Giants stand a chance to benefit from Beckham on one wing and Nabers on the other, and Darius Slayton in the slot.
