Trish Stratus isn’t nicknamed Canada’s Greatest Export for no reason. The impact that she had upon the future generations of female wrestlers is second to none. Even at 49, she continues to leave the fans in awe, and, as they say, Stratus has aged like a fine wine. Dominik Mysterio is aware of it, which is why he called her the best thing to ever come out of Canada.

The reigning Intercontinental Champion took to X and posted a picture with her. Mysterio could be seen lifted up high by Stratus in a beautiful ode to their twenty-year-old picture in which Dirty Dom was a kid. The 28-year-old, as is evident in the following post, was grinning from ear to ear. The lady he’s with, Stratus, has always been close to the Mysterio household.

While the former women’s champion isn’t seen on WWE programming these days, she has wrestled a few matches in recent years. The Quintessential Diva last competed in a tag team match at this year’s Elimination Chamber. She successfully teamed up with Tiffany Stratton to get the better of Nia Jax and Candice LeRae. Prior to that, the WWE Hall of Famer entered the 30-woman Royal Rumble match but couldn’t last long enough.

Stratus’ previous extended WWE run came in 2023. Back then, she even competed in a 6-woman tag team match at WrestleMania 39. In the following months, she’d turn heel for the first time since 2005 to feud with Becky Lynch. They had a trilogy that culminated in an epic steel cage match at Payback that Stratus lost, but earned the applause of the WWE Universe.

Dominik Mysterio faces an uphill battle against AJ Styles at Night of Champions

This Saturday at Night of Champions, Dominik Mysterio will have to do some real scrambling to remain unscathed. The self-proclaimed greatest luchador of all time is slated to defend his IC title belt against AJ Styles. The Phenomenal One has had his eyes on Mysterio since before the Backlash PLE.

Even though it took a while for Styles to get this ratified by the WWE management, he has a big opportunity up his alley. The Georgia Pitbull might not have numbers by his side as opposed to Liv Morgan‘s Daddy Dom, but the former WWE Champion does have decades of wrestling acumen under his belt. The fans might be in for a shocker in Riyadh if Styles somehow takes the IC title away from Mysterio even with Judgment Day’s backing.

Because it seems like Dirty Dom has badly set himself up for a betrayal by longtime stablemate, Finn Balor. They even got into each other’s faces on Raw last Monday. Also, it was Balor whom Mysterio pinned out of everyone at WrestleMania 41 to win his first singles title on the main roster.

Dominik Mysterio’s girlfriend to miss 6 months of action following injury

In a huge bummer for the Judgment Day and Dominik Mysterio, in particular, his guerita, Liv Morgan, dislocated her shoulder on Raw last week. It happened midway into her match with Kairi Sane, who later penned an emotional note on X for inadvertently putting Morgan on the shelf.

At first, the WWE management was hoping that the 31-year-old wouldn’t need surgery to heal up. However, the severity of the injury has left Morgan with no choice but to get herself operated on. Consequently, Mysterio’s on-screen girlfriend would be out of action for at least 6 months.

Morgan bowing out has unfortunately caused ripple effects on the upcoming match card for WWE Evolution where she was pegged to take on Nikki Bella in some capacity. Moreover, the former Riott Squad member’s dynamics with Mysterio and Roxanne Perez would also be dropped until she comes back.
