Ja'Marr Chase has had enough of fans invading his private space and it seems that he wants to be left alone.

Ja’Marr Chase is among the best receivers in the NFL at dodging defenders. His recent interaction revealed the Cincinnati Bengals star is capable of avoiding fans.

Video footage obtained by TMZ showed a female fan leaning into Chase for a hug on the side of the road at night. Chase pretended to reciprocate, but walked right past her.

She had the most awkward reaction on her face that one can imagine. She probably did not imagine Chase would avoid her completely.

The All-Pro wideout was already in a bad mood. A different video revealed that he had a run-in with an overzealous fan on a flight.

Chase covered himself from head to toe to avoid being recognized. Despite his best efforts, one passenger saw through his disguise. He requested an autograph, but Chase refused him.

The passenger retaliated by blowing Chase’s cover. “Everybody say hi to Ja’Marr Chase on your way out,” the passenger shouted.

The downside of being a famous person is that there’s hardly any privacy in public spaces. Chase found that out the hard way. Fortunately for him, it did not escalate to anything beyond heckling, like Kylie Kelce’s.

Last year, the wife of retired Eagles center Jason Kelce faced a fan who kept pressuring her for a picture at a parking lot in Margate City, New Jersey. The situation turned heated after Kylie turned her down, and if Jason wasn’t with her, the mother of four could have been in serious trouble.

The fan, later identified as Andree Goldberg, apologized for misbehaving with Kylie.

I said things that were out of character for me and that I regret, and for that, I am sorry. My anger, and my actions, are not who I am, and certainly not indicative of the welcoming community of Margate.

Ja’Marr Chase snubbed as the best receiver

Chase had an incredible 2024 campaign. He led the league in receptions (127), receiving yards (1708), and touchdowns (17). Despite taking the triple crown, Pro Football Focus did not consider him the best receiver during the 2024 NFL season.

Eagles’ AJ Brown took home that accolade, with Chase’s ex-LSU teammate and Vikings star WR Justin Jefferson finishing as runner-up.

The 2024 Triple Crown winner—first in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns—excelled in several areas, but his work after the catch stood out most. He gained 800 yards after the catch last season and leads all receivers with 1,788 yards after the catch since 2022.

PFF also credited the Eagles for boasting the best receiver room, followed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Bengals in third.

Chase is rarely bothered by such stats because he only cares about winning. He has a chip on his shoulder to replicate similar numbers as the previous campaign to survive in the loaded AFC. The Bengals have faith in Chase; that’s why he was made the highest-paid wide receiver by agreeing to a four-year, $161 million contract extension ($40 million/year).

His partner in crime, Higgins, signed a four-year, $115 million contract extension ($28 million/year), making them the highest-paid wide receiver duo in NFL history.

The Bengals play three preseason friendlies against the Eagles, Commanders, and the Colts before motoring across town to face divisional rivals the Cleveland Browns.
