Diontae Johnson reportedly refused to take the field for the Ravens against the Eagles, citing the cold weather as the reason.

Diontae Johnson is not a fan of the cold weather, so much so that he refused to come on for the Baltimore Ravens when the coaches asked him to. The Ravens brass did not take Johnson’s refusal kindly.
Johnson’s sixth year as a pro football player was full of ups and downs. He began the season on the Ravens roster and appeared in four games, recording one catch and six yards.
In week five, the Ravens trailed the Philadelphia Eagles after the third quarter, and the Ravens’ coach wanted to send Johnson on as a fresh pair of legs. However, the 28-year-old refused to come out of his comforter because it was too cold for him.
My legs are already ice cold, and I didn’t wanna go out there and put bad stuff on film. It’s not like I didn’t wanna go into the game, but leading up to this point, I had been through so much… I told them I’m not finna go in, so I just sat on the bench.

Fans call out Dionate Johnson for ditching the Ravens because of the cold weather
The natural elements are part of the game. Some players weaponize them for their own benefit while learning to coexist. Johnson proved that he’s in a category of his own by refusing to play in 41 degrees.

Football fans weren’t pleased with the revelation and called the Florida native soft for shivering in the Baltimore cold.
Ofc that’s Cleveland’s problem now🤣🤣🤣 he’s a fucking clown https://t.co/7nCXnahWGI

Diontae Johnson disclosed who is leading the Cleveland Browns’ quarterback job
Three days after the Ravens waived Johnson, he signed with the Houston Texans, where he stayed for a month. He then returned to Baltimore for the playoffs, but he was not eligible to play. Following the Ravens’ elimination by the Bills in the divisional round, Johnson entered free agency.
They declined to extend his stay with the club, and he entered free agency. In April, he agreed to a one-year $1.17 million deal with the Ravens’ AFC North nemesis, the Cleveland Browns.
Now, unlike in Baltimore, where Lamar Jackson is the starting quarterback, the Browns QB battle is spread among Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Dillon Gabriel, and Shedeur Sanders.
Flacco remains the betting favorite to start on week one, but head coach Kevin Stefanski revealed that they will not decide the starting quarterback until the end of the training camp. Johnson, on the other hand, claimed Stefanski and the Browns coaching team are leaning towards Pickett.
I’ve been seeing Kenny [Pickett] going like right now with the ones. Then Joe [Flacco] will come in, I think they are probably going to roll with him just to see like, he’s coming off a season with Philly and having a Super Bowl.

The Browns’ quarterback battle is unprecedented. However, Johnson should focus on himself. He last had a 1000-yard season when he was still in Pittsburgh (2021 season).
